Once they walk into our hearts, they never truly leave us. 🐾 Today is World Pet Memorial Day, a special time to pause and celebrate the incredible companions who have crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈

The team at Animal Hospital of East Burke knows how deeply these sweet animals impact our lives and how much they are missed every single day. While they may no longer be by our side, the love and joy they brought into our homes stays with us forever. We invite our AHEB family to share a favorite memory or a photo of your angel pets in the comments below as we honor them together today. ✨

Summer storms are rolling in, and for many of our pets, that could mean a big spike in anxiety. ⛈️🐾

The best way to help your furry friend handle the noise is to have a game plan ready before the first flash of lightning strikes! 🌩️ Creating a cozy "safe zone" in a quiet room and using background noise can help dull the scary sounds. 🚪

If your pet experiences severe panic during storms, the team at Animal Hospital of East Burke is here to help find the right solution to keep them comfortable.

🌟 Team Spotlight: Dr. Tom

Today we are honoring the man who started it all! After graduating from Iowa State in 1987, Dr. Tom founded Animal Hospital of East Burke in 1989 and dedicated over 35 incredible years to caring for Burke County’s pets. 🩺

An amazing mentor, he helped shape many careers in the field, including Dr. Jenni's! These days, Dr. Tom is enjoying his semi-retired life by traveling, fishing, and spending time with his granddaughter, Corinne. 🎣✈️ Thank you, Dr. Tom, for your decades of compassionate leadership at AHEB! 💜✨

Myth or Fact: A dry or warm nose means your pet has a fever. 🐾 The answer?

Myth! ❌

While we’ve all heard this one, a pet’s nose temperature changes for many reasons—like the weather or just waking up from a nap—and isn't a reliable way to check for a fever. 🌡️ The team at Animal Hospital of East Burke suggests watching for signs like low energy or not wanting to eat instead. If you’re ever worried that things aren't quite right, the AHEB team is just a phone call away! 💜✨

Planning a summer getaway? 🚗 Before you load up the car, don’t forget to check your pet’s medicine cabinet! 💊 Vacation season often means more time outdoors in new places, making it the most important time for consistent heartworm and flea/tick protection. 🐾

The team at Animal Hospital of East Burke wants to help you stay ahead of "bug season." 🦟 Give us a call at AHEB to refill your prescriptions before you head out on your adventures. Let’s keep those tails wagging and pest-free all summer long! 💙✨
