🐾 PROFESSIONAL PET SITTER FEATURE — MEET ASH! 🐾

Happy Feature Friday! This week, we’re excited to introduce Ash Girardi, one of our wonderful Professional Pet Sitters serving Central Tucson! 💙

Ash has been a passionate animal lover for as long as they can remember. Growing up with dogs and cats, caring for animals has always been a natural part of their life.

Today, Ash shares their home with quite the furry crew—four dogs and two cats! 🐶🐱

Even more special? Four of their six pets are rescues! Both cats and two of their dogs have found a loving home with Ash.

With six furry family members, life can get a little chaotic, but Ash wouldn’t have it any other way! 🥰

That lifelong love of animals and hands-on experience caring for a busy household are what Ash brings to the Just Four Paws family.

Ash looks forward to meeting your wonderful pets, getting to know their unique personalities, and helping them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.

📍 Ash proudly serves JFP families in Central Tucson.

We’re delighted to have Ash on our team!

🇺🇸💙 Thoughtful Thursday — An Honor We Will Always Treasure 🐾

Every once in a while, someone does something so thoughtful that words hardly seem enough.

Just Four Paws was recently presented with an extraordinary gift from one of our very special clients.

While overseas, our client arranged for an American flag to be flown in honor of Just Four Paws, Arizona.

On December 23, 2025, that flag was flown aboard an HH-60M Black Hawk helicopter over Kuwait, accompanied by a certificate commemorating the occasion.

To know that someone thought enough of our little pet-sitting family to arrange something so meaningful is truly humbling. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to our thoughtful client for this beautiful gesture, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the brave men and women who serve our country.

At Just Four Paws, we often talk about the special bonds we build with the pets entrusted to our care. But the relationships we develop with their families are just as meaningful.

This beautiful flag will always be a reminder of kindness, appreciation, service, and the wonderful people who become part of our JFP family.

From all of us at Just Four Paws, thank you. We will treasure this gift for years to come. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

🐾 Walk About Wednesday 🐾

Stop and Smell the Roses… or That Really Interesting Bush! 🐶🌿

For dogs, a walk is about more than stretching their legs. It’s also a chance to exercise their brains!

🐾 Mental stimulation: Sniffing allows dogs to explore and process information about their surroundings.

🐾 Natural instincts: Dogs experience much of their world through scent. Giving them time to investigate encourages natural behaviors.

🐾 Enrichment: A leisurely sniffing walk can provide valuable mental enrichment alongside physical exercise.

At Just Four Paws, we understand that every dog has their own pace. Some love a brisk walk, while others prefer stopping to investigate every bush, tree, and mysterious blade of grass! 😂

Sometimes the best walk isn’t about how far you go, but how much your dog gets to explore along the way. 💙🐾

🐾 Quick Tip Tuesday: What’s Hiding in Your Purse? 👜

Our pets are naturally curious, and sometimes the most unexpected places can hold hidden dangers!

Purses, backpacks, and overnight bags may contain everyday items that can be harmful to our four-legged friends.

🐾 Sugar-free gum and mints — Some contain xylitol, which is extremely toxic to dogs.

💊 Medications — Even a dropped pill can pose a serious risk.

🍫 Chocolate and snacks — Some human treats are dangerous for pets.

🧴 Personal care products — Certain cosmetics, lotions, and other products can cause problems if swallowed.

Tuesday’s Tip: Keep bags zipped and stored somewhere curious paws and noses can’t reach!

At Just Four Paws, we know that keeping pets safe means paying attention to the little things, too.

🐾 MINDFUL MONDAY 🐾

Before You Leave: The 5-Minute Pet Check 🏡🐶🐱

Suitcases packed? ✔️
Travel plans confirmed? ✔️
Pet sitter scheduled? ✔️

Before you head out the door, take just five minutes to make sure everything is ready for your furry family members!

🐾 Food & Water: Make sure there’s enough food, treats, and fresh water available, with supplies easy to find.

🐾 Medications: Double-check that medications and supplements are clearly labeled and instructions are up to date.

🐾 Safety Check: Secure gates, doors, windows, and pet-accessible areas. Put away anything your pets shouldn’t get into.

🐾 Comfort Items: Leave their favorite beds, blankets, and toys in their usual spots.

🐾 Last-Minute Updates: Let your sitter know about any changes in appetite, behavior, medications, routines, or household instructions.

💙 A little preparation goes a long way toward a smooth, stress-free visit!

At Just Four Paws, Inc., we believe great pet care is a team effort between pet parents and professional pet sitters.

🐾 PROFESSIONAL PET SITTER FEATURE — MEET ELIZABETH! 🐾

This Friday, we’re excited to introduce Elizabeth, one of our compassionate Professional Pet Sitters proudly serving the Vail area! 💙

Elizabeth believes one of our greatest responsibilities as humans is to be good stewards of the creatures who share our world—treating them with love, respect, and dignity.

Throughout her life, Elizabeth has shared that love with cats, dogs, birds, fish, hamsters, and even mice! Her decades of hands-on experience include administering insulin injections, giving oral medications to cats and dogs, and, perhaps most importantly, being an expert ear scratcher! 🐾

While Elizabeth has a soft spot for all creatures, she’ll happily admit that she’s a cat person at heart. 🐱💕

What makes Elizabeth’s story especially meaningful is her history with Just Four Paws.

For many years, Elizabeth and her beloved pets, Maya and Bruce, were clients of Melissa and JFP. After sadly saying goodbye to Maya and Bruce a few years ago, Elizabeth crossed paths with Melissa again.

That chance meeting turned into something wonderful! They realized that caring for other families’ beloved pets would give Elizabeth an opportunity to continue sharing the love she had always given her own furry family.

And just like that, a longtime JFP client became part of the JFP family! 💙

Today, Elizabeth brings her compassion, experience, and genuine respect for animals into every home she visits.

📍 Elizabeth proudly serves JFP families in Vail, Arizona.

We’re delighted to have her on our team and grateful that she continues to share her love with the pets entrusted to our care.

💙 Thoughtful Thursday — You Know Them Best. We’re Here to Keep Them Happy. 🐾

Behind every happy pet is someone who knows them better than anyone else—their family. 💕

You know which toy is their absolute favorite, which blanket they can’t sleep without, and exactly how they like their dinner served.

You know the little quirks that make them unique. The silly habits, the special routines, and the things that bring them comfort.

And when you share those details with us, you’re giving our sitters something incredibly valuable—the opportunity to care for your pets in a way that feels familiar, comfortable, and reassuring.

At Just Four Paws, we believe great pet care is a partnership. 🤝🐾

You know their hearts, their habits, and their personalities. We take that knowledge and do our best to keep their world happy, safe, and familiar while you’re away.

Because caring for your pets isn’t just about meeting their needs. It’s about understanding what makes them feel loved. 💙

To all the wonderful pet parents who trust us with those little details—thank you.

🐾 Walk About Wednesday 🐾

Before the leash clips on and the adventure begins, take a few seconds for a quick collar and harness check!

Over time, collars and harnesses can loosen, wear out, or simply stop fitting the way they should. A quick check before heading out can help keep your pup comfortable and secure.

Make sure the fit is snug but comfortable, check buckles and clips for wear or damage, and give the leash and attachment points a quick look too. And don’t forget those ID tags—make sure they’re secure and the contact information is current.

For dogs wearing a harness, pay special attention to the fit around the neck, chest, and legs. You want freedom to move without giving your pup enough room to become a furry little escape artist. 😂

A few seconds before every walk can make for a safer adventure once those paws hit the pavement. 💙🐾

🐔 Quick Tip Tuesday: Chicken 101 — Meet JellyBean!

Dogs and cats may get most of the attention around here, but today we’re letting one of our feathered clients take center stage. Meet the beautiful JellyBean! ♥️

Chickens are much more interesting little creatures than many people realize—and they have their own routines, personalities and care needs.

🌿 They’re natural foragers. Chickens love scratching and pecking through the ground looking for seeds, plants and insects. Yep…nature’s little pest-control department! 🐛😂

🛁 Dust baths are a good thing! Rolling, digging and fluffing around in dry dirt helps chickens maintain their feathers and is completely normal chicken behavior—even if they look like they’re having some sort of poultry meltdown.

💧 Fresh water matters. Chickens need reliable access to clean, fresh water, especially during our warm Arizona days.

🏠 Safe shelter is important. A secure coop gives chickens a protected place to rest, roost and lay eggs and helps keep them safe from predators.

🐔 And yes, they have personalities! Chickens can be curious, social, cautious, bold—and sometimes downright opinionated. Spend enough time with a flock and you’ll quickly learn who’s who.

At Just Four Paws, our clients come with paws, hooves, scales, feathers—and apparently occasionally an impressive résumé in pest control. 😂

Whatever species we’re caring for, understanding their normal routines and individual personalities is part of providing The Care Your Pets Deserve.

🐾 MINDFUL MONDAY

Why do we ask so many questions? 🤔🐾

Because when it comes to caring for your pets, the little details can make a BIG difference.

During your Meet & Greet and while setting up your pet’s care, we want to know more than simply where the food bowls are.

🐾 What time do they normally eat?
🐾 Where do they sleep—or hide?
🐾 How do they let you know they need to go outside?
🐾 Do they have any fears, triggers or unusual behaviors?
🐾 What medications or supplements do they take?
🐾 Which toy is THE toy?
🐾 What does their normal appetite, energy and bathroom routine look like?

You know your pets better than anyone. The information you share helps us keep their routine familiar, recognize when something may be different and provide care that is truly personalized to them.

And those funny little quirks you think probably aren’t worth mentioning?

Tell us those too. 💙

To us, there’s no such thing as too much information when it comes to caring for your pet.

Because professional pet sitting isn’t one-size-fits-all.

It’s knowing who we’re caring for. 🐾
