Our time with our loyal companions is incredibly precious, making every ordinary day we share with them a beautiful gift. We must hold them tightly and cherish their quiet presence while they are still resting by our side. The soft warmth of their fur and the unconditional love in their eyes are memories we will eventually long to hold onto. By making them feel safe and adored today, we build a lifetime of comfort that will carry us through the quiet days ahead. Never take a single look or a gentle tail wag for granted, because their lifetime passes by far too quickly.

Your dog’s water bowl is suddenly empty again.

Before assuming the worst, look for what changed.

Hotter weather?

A longer walk?

More time outside?

A switch from wet food to dry?

A salty treat?

A new medication?

All of those can make a dog drink noticeably more.

But if nothing obvious explains it, pay attention to what happens next.

Are the pees getting much larger?

Are they waking you up at night to go outside?

Having accidents after years of perfect house training?

Drinking more and urinating more together can be an important clue with conditions like diabetes, kidney disease, or Cushing’s disease.

The useful question is not simply:

“Is my dog drinking a lot?”

It is:

“Is this more than normal for my dog, and what else changed with it?”

With the candy bowl filling up, a quick reminder for pet families.

Chocolate, xylitol, and raisins are all dangerous for pets, and candy wrappers can cause problems of their own. Keep the stash somewhere your pet cannot reach, and remind the kids to do the same.

If your pet gets into something they should not, call us right away at (508) 278-5869.
