May is National Allergy & Asthma Awareness Month! ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿพ

Just like people, pets can suffer from allergies and asthma too. Common signs in pets may include:

๐Ÿถ Excessive scratching or licking
๐Ÿฑ Sneezing, coughing, or wheezing
๐ŸŒฟ Red or irritated skin
๐Ÿ‘‚ Frequent ear infections
๐Ÿ’จ Difficulty breathing or exercise intolerance

Seasonal allergens like pollen, grass, dust, and mold can make this time of year especially tough for sensitive pets.

If your pet is showing signs of discomfort, our team is here to help with diagnosis, treatment options, and relief so they can breathe easier and feel their best! ๐Ÿ’™

Call us today to schedule an exam and keep your furry family members happy and healthy this spring! ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿพ

Just as we had exciting news last week with our new veterinarian, Dr. Kinroth starting, we have some very, very sad news. Dr. Fergenbaum is going to be leaving us. His last day will be Friday, May 15th. We are all incredibly sad and will miss him so much! We are excited for him to start a new journey closer to family and friends on the east coast.
As many of know he has been our exotics doc, and we will not stop seeing pocket pets or exotics. Dr. Kinroth is excited to be taking over that area!
Please feel free to stop by and tell Dr. Fergenbaum good-bye.

Weโ€™re excited to share that a new veterinarian has joined our team at Good Friends Animal Hospital!

Please help us welcome Dr. Brooke Kinroth, DVM to the practice.

Dr. Kinroth has been in the veterinary field for 10 years and practicing as a veterinarian for the past 5. She earned her degree from the University of Illinois and is passionate about building strong relationships with pet owners while delivering thoughtful, individualized care.

She takes pride in:
Clear, compassionate communication with pet families
Partnering with owners to create personalized care plans
Creating low-stress visits to reduce fear and anxiety for pets

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kinroth is an avid reader (with a personal library of over 700 books!), enjoys exploring used bookstores, participates in dog sports with her border collies, and loves spending time traveling with her family.

Weโ€™re thrilled to have her on board and know youโ€™ll enjoy getting to know her in the coming weeks.
