Let's Be Honest. You are already falling for me! ❣️ Hi, I'm Sam and apparently, I'm supposed to tell you why you should adopt me, but that feels a little awkward because nobody likes a guy who talks about himself too much. 😹

But let's give it a go...

🩷🩶 Aside from my devastating good looks with my big golden eyes, perfectly pink nose, confidently giant ears, and the best tux I always wear just for appeal... I'm also a sweetheart through and through!

🐈‍⬛️ I'm the kind of cat who likes to know what's going on. 🥑 If you're bringing groceries into the house, I'll be there to inspect them. 🧺 If you're folding laundry, I'll probably offer my opinion. 💻 If you're trying to work, I'll stop by every so often just to make sure you're not taking life too seriously.

I enjoy being around my people, but I'm not the type to demand constant attention. 🫂 Most of the time I'm perfectly happy just hanging out nearby, keeping you company while we each do our own thing. Just don't close the door 🚪 on me, I'm the guy that wants to be included and it hurts my feelers when I feel shut out!

How about a good chin scratch or curling up on your chest? You let me rub my face on yours? Where's the contract, I'll sign now! 🖊

💤 I can definitely stand behind a good cat nap and when I sleep, nothing else matters! Catnip? Yeah, I lost all my dignity! Uh-MAZING!!! 🌱

I'm also pretty convinced that everyone I meet is a potential friend. 🐈 🐶 👶 Cats? Sounds good. Dogs? Great. Kids? Absolutely. Life is a lot easier when you start from the assumption that everybody is nice.

They say one of my best qualities is how easy I am to have around. 🕶 I can be playful when the mood strikes, cuddly when you're looking for company, and independent when you've got things to do. ✔️ Somehow I've managed to find a balance between being part of the family and not being a tiny furry tornado. 🌪⚖️🕯

Oh MEOW! 💬 That came out so easy! But hey, the Rescue thinks I'm pretty great too, so who am I to say anything but?!

The truth is, I'm not looking for anything extraordinary. 🦄 I'd just like a home. A place where I can spend my mornings watching birds 🐦 from the window, my afternoons pretending to help with whatever may be going on around the house, and my evenings curled up near the people I love. ❤️

I should already have a family that knows all my little quirks, who laugh and tell visitors, "That's Sam," before launching into a story about something ridiculous I did last week. 😻

😾 Apparently, I'm "hard to impress."
That's what everyone says when they see my face. My name is Sophie, and yes, I look like I'm judging your life choices. No, I'm not actually judging you. That's just my face. 😹 And you'll see my face at PETCO in Layton right now in the cubbies! So, come meet me... but first, a little about me!

💞 The truth? I'm one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet.

Most days, you’ll find me stretched out in a hammock, tucked into a cozy spot, or quietly watching the world go by. I’m perfectly content doing my own thing and taking life at a slower pace. I’m low-drama, low-maintenance, and I don’t feel the need to be in the middle of everything to be happy. I rarely meow, I don’t scratch up the house, and I’m simply an easy, peaceful presence in a home. 🏡

Despite my signature “mean mug,” I’ve never shown a mean bone in my body. Chin scratches are absolutely welcome, even if I keep my serious expression the entire time. When I decide it’s cuddle time, I fully commit. I’ll climb right onto your chest, make biscuits nonstop, and settle in like I’ve always belonged there. ❤️

😻 I’m confident in new environments and adjust without much fuss. I do well with kids, enjoy people, and get along with other cats, though I do appreciate my space and prefer companions who understand boundaries.

📚 My story hasn’t been the easiest. After my owner passed away, I was left behind. By the time I came into rescue, my coat had become severely matted and needed to be shaved. It was a rough start, but I’m doing beautifully now. My fur is growing back, and I enjoy the comfort and relief of being mat-free.

Now I’m looking for what every cat deserves: 🐈 a calm home, a soft place to land, and someone who sees past my resting “judgment face” and into the very affectionate heart underneath it.

💙 Deaf Otis is fighting for his life, and we need your help! 💙

Right now, Otis is hospitalized at Mountain West Veterinary Specialists undergoing extensive testing and treatment. His liver and spleen are enlarged, and despite multiple tests, we still don't have answers. But we do know he is starting to improve, however he still has a long way to go. And we need to raise over $2,580 to cover his current vet bill.

- Otis is very sick.
- His medical bills have already reached $2,580.
- We are expecting costs to exceed $4,100.

History wise we know Otis was born deaf into a feral colony before being rescued along with his mother and brother, who all have a permanent home lined up for them. Otis is only a year old, and we believe he deserves every chance to recover and finally make it home to his forever family. If 100 people donate just $20, we can make a huge dent in his medical expenses.

This 1-year-old heroine may not guard Castle Grayskull, but she will guard your heart with fierce loyalty and nonstop cuddles. Just like Teela, this sweet girl is brave, loving, and always ready to stand beside her people. 💖

Teela believes humans were made for three important things: snuggling, forehead kisses, and being climbed onto for nap time. She loves sleeping with her people, curling up on your chest, and soaking up warmth and affection like magical Eternian energy. The more love you give her, the more she glows. ✨

🐾Meet & Adopt us TODAY! We are in the cat cubbies at Petco in Layton! People See Our Ears First. We Hope Someone Finally Sees Us. 🩷💙

If you notice that our ears are different, you’re not alone. They tell part of our story. 📖

We both had hematomas caused by severe ear mites that went untreated for far too long. We scratched and shook our heads constantly trying to stop the pain and itching, but without medical care, the swelling damaged the cartilage and left lasting scars. Bella's left ear is hardened and now barely visible, and Moose’s right ear is also permanently curled and hardened. ❤️‍🩹

When cats are left outside too long without help, something as simple as ear mites can become painful and permanently damaging. That’s what happened to us.

😿 For a long time, we lived outside an apartment complex where people walked past us every day without really seeing us. Summers were scorching. Winters were freezing. Some nights we searched for food. Other nights we searched for somewhere safe to sleep. Through all of it, we stayed together.

And somehow… after everything we went through, we still absolutely adore people. 😽💋

That may be the most incredible part of our story.

💙 Moose loves the company of humans. He quickly gets up from wherever he is and trots to the door, ready for pets. He chirps for attention, climbs straight into laps, makes giant happy biscuits in his bed, and completely melts the second you pet him. And when you stop the chin scratches, he quickly lets you know with a little chirp and lots of head nudges to just keep petting. Moose loves his people and wants nothing more than a human companion to be next to. Treats and wet food are also high on Moose's list of likes in life!

🩷 Bella loves more quietly, but just as deeply. She curls into laps like she’s finally allowing herself to rest after spending too long surviving. She enjoys being pet and will settle beside you while you work or relax, and looks at you with the biggest, most grateful eyes. She doesn’t need to demand attention to completely steal your heart. Bella just wants to be noticed and will happily rest on the cat tree in front of the window just as long as she can be near her person. Toys are fun too and at two years old she has lots of playful energy left!

The beautiful thing about both of us is that we never became hardened by what happened to us. We became affectionate. Gentle. Grateful. Every soft bed still feels exciting. Every meal feels special. Every bit of love feels like something we never want to take for granted. ❣️

And despite what our ears may suggest, we are not medically complicated cats. We are healthy, happy, fully healed, and ready for a family of our own. Our ears are only cosmetic now — little reminders of a difficult chapter that is finally behind us. 😻 And don't worry about our long fur either, we love to be brushed!

🏡 The only thing we’re still waiting for is a home!

We would love to be adopted together because we truly enjoy each other’s company, but we are not bonded. If the perfect family can only adopt one of us, we understand. We still promise to give so much love. But, after surviving abandonment side by side, it would be so wonderful if we could stay together.

🇺🇸 MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND = RED, WHITE, MEW & A WOOF OR TWO! 🇺🇸
We don't know about you but, we're spending our Saturday at 📍Petco in Layton searching for our forever humans… a family to give our lives purrpose.

A whole crew of cats, kittens, and a couple dogs will be there from 🕛 12–4 PM and we are ready to paw-ty our way into your life. 🎉

One of us is your soulmate! 💞 Maybe it’s the kitten climbing the kennel like a caffeinated raccoon 🦝 or the curious teen who refuses to let you out of his line of sight 👀 or it could be the senior who simply wants to exist alongside their person while reading a book. 📖

Of course, it might be the pup 🐕 who is already planning matching bandanas and weekend walks. 👣 🐾 Fate works fast around here.
