We are so excited to introduce the newest member of our rescue family, Ferdinand. Our Pateon members already met Ferdi a few months ago. He’s a sweet pot-bellied pig, a KuneKune mix, who is about 2 1/2 years old.

Ferdinand’s story began with uncertainty when he was discovered roaming the woods, alone, in nearby Maryland. According to the neighborhood, he was a ‘wild’ pig for nearly two years and no one claimed him. One farmer was planning to ‘hunt’ him for being a nuisance at night when looking for shelter in their barn. 😞

Thankfully a kind and compassionate family kept an eye on him and worked patiently to gain his trust. After plenty of snacks and persistence, Ferdi was safely secured, and delivered to Furvivors.

It’s taken months of patience but he has shown us his gentle spirit 🐷 He loves to explore the property, like a farm puppy. And he is winning over everyone he meets with his curious personality and adorable snorts. His favorite place to hang out is in the garden where he spends the day with the hens, bunny, goat and the constant traffic of curious cats. One big happy family 🐷🐐🐰🐥🐈💞

As Ferdinand settles into his new life, he needs a few things to call his own, like dinner bowls, mini pig supplements & grain, and a kiddie pool for the already 90• days when pigs need to cool off and relax! 😎

Being a rescue mom means early mornings, late nights, muddy boots, endless worrying, and an overflowing heart. Today, we celebrate every woman who gives unconditional love to children, both two-legged and four, family, friends, and those who need it most. You make the world a little softer and safer, for both people and the animals we share it with. 💜

Hi everyone. Furvivors is a 501c3 non profit horse rescue and farm animal sanctuary, currently located near Oxford, PA.

We need your help! We are in need of a reliable working riding mower. 🌱 A 60” zero turn would make our summer better by zipping through grass cutting and onto important things like grooming and walking horses ☀️
Brand & aesthetic doesn’t matter - as long as it WORKS as it should & is reliable. Not a project.

We have a very small budget to work with, and as a 501c3, all donations are tax deductible.

We have nothing right now and are open to anything, need is sooner than later.🤞Please dm us or share what you have or know is out there. (trying marketplace too)

The Dodo

Delaware lawmakers are considering one of the strictest animal cruelty measures yet.

A newly proposed bill would permanently ban people convicted of repeated animal cruelty from owning animals. It would also increase prison sentences for repeat felony offenders, aiming to stop abuse before it can happen again.

Supporters say the proposal is about prevention — keeping animals out of dangerous situations by closing loopholes that allow repeat offenses.

If you’ve met this sweet four year old, I’m sure you’re smiling right now because you’ve witnessed this silly boy in action😍

Dolcetto beat so many odds. Making it out of an Oklahoma feed lot under a very short timestamp situation, then enduring the travel from Oklahoma to eastern Pennsylvania all while a foal in his mamas tummy.
….Then surviving a very risky nine hour emergency colic surgery last December, and overcoming a lengthy and strict rehabilitation. ❤️‍🩹

You’d never know it though. He’s still very curious, inquisitive, alert and so, so playful! He has his mama’s strong spirit of resilience.

What’s not to love about this lil guy❣️

Piglet is a 43 year old pony, aka a ‘mini’.
Last December Piglet was entrusted to our sanctuary for the rest of his retirement. He instantly became a barn favorite with his shy personality and frail little frame; a result of sudden stress from losing his human mama, barn mates and the safe secure routine he’d known for many, many years.

When we shared his story with the world, Piglet quickly became a fan favorite with an overwhelming response to his age, which is equal to about 110 human years. This is true testament to the care and dedication he received in his senior years. All Thanks to his mama Judy, who we know watches over him, and his mule-sister Sadie. 😇

It took a bit of patience getting him into a groove as a Furvivor. We had to learn his personality, his likes & dislikes and adjust accordingly. Piglet has let us know (loud & clear) that he’s finally feeling secure and happy again. 😊 How you ask? Stay tuned for that story…

Although he has Cushings disease, aged teeth (smooth mouth) and limited vision, you would never know it. 😍
Piglet is thriving with a capital T! 💙
In fact, he needs a hat that says “I’m the Boss” 🧢

He’s our life-size fuzzy teddy bear & we’re so glad he’s here 🤎🧸
