Jordan and Jaxon. There are no words, but I am making a post, so I may as well try.
As promised, a continuation of my clients who are more like family.
This is Jordan and Jaxon, and I've been grooming them since they were 8 weeks old. I CANT BELIEVE THEY'RE ALMOST 4! WOW!! It blows my mind how I can have watched them grow and learn for so long, and yet it feels like no time has passed at all. Jaxon is my little shy boy, and Jordan may sure has enough sass for both of them!
Yesterday I used Dude as a lesson in adaptivy in the field and I think Jordan and Jaxon are amazing examples of the good training can do when it comes to grooming. Their mom (aside from being one of the best people to ever walk this planet) has always kept them on a strict schedule. Because of this, they've been given the chance to see grooming isn't as scary as they once thought. To them, it is just a part of life, and they actually get excited to see me! When pups aren't given time and structure, grooming can feel more like a punishment than anything else, and it really really sucks when dogs are scared of me. It isn't their fault of course, and I do my best to go slow and find a rhythm in our time together, but it hurts most that some pet parents don’t so their part to help.
Don't get me wrong, money can be an issue; I understand that. This is why I have hundreds of tips for at home grooming training in between visits! Not only will it help their fear, but it is a great chance for bonding! For more, feel free to dm me. No one is born a perfect pet parent, not even me. There is no judgment; I'm here to help!
Oops, I got side tracked.
So yes, this is a post about Jordan and Jaxon, but it is also a post about their mother, Mrs. Nicole. Thank you for being amazing in every single way!
