🎄✨ Holiday Update! ✨🎄
I’ll be taking limited reservations for Christmas week, and I’ll be off from December 25th through January 1st to rest, recharge, and enjoy some holiday snuggles of my own.

I also want to say a truly heartfelt thank you for trusting me with your fur babies. Caring for your pets brings me so much joy, and I’m grateful every day for the love, laughter, and little paw prints you share with me. ❤️🐾

Between ages 2-4, cats reach full development with their social maturity, set clear boundaries, and may become a bit more assertive—sometimes even stirring up conflict in multi-cat homes. Keep an eye on changing behaviors and help them adjust to avoid conflicts. Make sure there are plenty of resources spaced around the home to accommodate each cat's preferred personal area, engage in a couple of interactive play sessions each day to redirect building tension, and provide an enriched environment so cats don't start picking on each other. Watch for signs of tension between cats so you can work on the relationships before things escalate.

Did you know the Chihuahua is one of the oldest dog breeds in the Americas? These tiny pups trace their history back to ancient Mexico, where they were companions to the Toltec and Aztec civilizations. Named after the Mexican state of Chihuahua, they became popular in the U.S. in the early 1900s and have held a special place in our hearts ever since.

Though small in size, Chihuahuas are known for their big personalities, loyalty, and courage. They often bond closely with their people and make excellent watchdogs. Fun fact: Chihuahuas come in both smooth and long coats—and despite their petite frames, many love to strut with the confidence of a much larger dog!

Whether you share your home with a Chihuahua or another breed full of personality, Allure Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care is here to keep your pets happy and healthy. Call us today to schedule your next visit—or we are here if you need us for urgent care.

Question time. It's not unusual for many cat parents to be confused by a cat's particular behavior. Even though every behavior serves a purpose and makes sense to the cat, it can be confusing and frustrating to the cat parent. Is there a behavior that took you a while to understand?

The silent suffering that many dogs (ANY breed, but higher risk in some types) experience as a result of how we’ve designed them is a sad reality that is hard to think about because we love our companion dogs for how they look. They are to us, more than how they look. https://doggiedrawings.net/pages/dogs-of-the-world-book
