Storey Ranch Horses Storey Ranch horses in Unity, Oregon FARRIER SERVICE: My husband Beau Storey has been trimming and shoeing horses for 15+ yrs. He can do cold and hot shoe.

Exceptional horsemanship. Quiet around horses and takes pride in his work! We are reliable and affordable. We trim and shoe all sizes of horses, drafts, mules, donkeys and ponies. TRIMMING: I “Cortney Storey” have experience on trimming goats and ponies/horses. If you have any goats that need trimmed I can get them taken care of for you. RANCH HORSES: We start and finish our own horses. Our horses are exposed ground work/ground driving. They are rode many miles. Trailing cattle, worked cattle, calving cows and heifers. They are calm and quiet. They have a super disposition. We also take outside horses and train them. At this moment we are not taking outside horses. Thanks

Miss Betsy. She turned a year in June. Needed to get recent pictures. So she got messed with today. She’s so easy to get along with. Her mom is the same way. Nothing bothers her. ❤️

Roy our 14 year olds first time shoeing all on his own. Few weeks ago Beau showed him how to put a nail in and how to finish the hoof. Well Beau was busy trucking and Blondie needed new fronts before she could be using to gather cows. Roy headed out to the barn with the old farrier book in his hands. (Wish I got a picture of him under the house with the stand and the book open sitting next to the stand) This kid hasn’t even trimmed a horse before. Has watched Beau a few times that’s all. Well I have to say we are pretty proud of him! Got both shoes on. His first shoe was set perfectly. Second he also did a great job. Beau showed him he could have brought it back an 1/8th of an inch but other then that said it’s straight and looks good. Roy’s from the time he could count was interested in making money! So he’s determined to get good enough by age 16 he can take on a few local clients.

Our oldest boy has been reading this horseshoeing book (same book Beau -my husband- was reading at 16 years old) it’s a great book. But I also have a good dvd set that shows how to trim and goes into great detail about a horse’s hoof. So Roy’s watching that today and he said he’s going to attempt to put a front shoe on Blonde. ❤️

Our oldest Roy removing Cowboys shoes.
Cowboy is 15.2/3 hands. A big boy compared to our haflingers that are anywhere from 13.2-14.2 hands.

I need to get better videos. I’m home with kids anymore so not out riding like I use to. So only get videos when I’m corrals but there has been plenty of times Spud saved the day out in the field! Looking for someone that would want to breed their female to him and we get first pick of the litter for stud fee.

Our two oldest Roy and Gus and our friends daughter entered into the wild pony race! They gave it their all! And hung right in there. Roy and Klancy who’s just few months younger then Roy she’s a tough cowgirl! were not going to let go of that rope! They got second with a 25.34 second run. Just one second shy from being 1st place.
