Meet Anabelle!

“I have worked at Sunchaser Kennels for a little over a year. My favorite part about the job is getting to know and work with all different types of dogs, breeds, and personalities. I enjoy building trust and forming relationships with each of the dogs at Sunchaser. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is watching dogs gain confidence during their stay and seeing them become more comfortable in the environment!

I own an American Cocker Spaniel named Teddy. I love spending time with him, whether we’re exercising, exploring new places, or teaching and practicing fun tricks! I am currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in psychology. While I enjoy learning about how the human brain works, I have become equally fascinated by canine behavior and cognition.

My goal is to continue building my knowledge and experience with dogs and possibly pursue opportunities where I can apply that interest further. Some of my favorite things to do are spend time with family and friends, go on hikes with my dog, and give him opportunities to explore new places and experience new things!”

Bradyn has been working at Sunchaser Kennels for 3 years now! She loves caring for and
playing with all the different breeds of dogs and cats. She does an excellent job of comforting
the animals while they are away from their families.

Bradyn has a 4 year old Cane Corso/Rottweiler mix named Chief (pictured). She also has 4 cats
that enjoy exploring the woods around her house. Bradyn will be graduating from Linganore
High School in June and will continue her education at East Stroudsburg University in
Pennsylvania. She will join ESU’s softball team this fall while majoring in Physical Education and
minoring in Coaching. Bradyn hopes to become a P.E. teacher after graduating from ESU.

When she’s not working at Sunchaser, Bradyn loves playing softball and basketball, spending
time with her friends and family, working out, and going shopping.

We love having Bradyn on our team! We will miss her this fall, but we know she has many great things in store for her!

Meet Savanna!

Savanna has worked at Sunchaser Kennels for about 4 years now. Savanna loves building relationships with the cats and dogs she works with. She loves helping them feel more comfortable with their new haircuts and does an excellent job at making them feel safe and loved during their baths and grooming. She is able to work with many dogs who have struggled with different groomers in the past.

Savanna has been grooming for 10 years! Prior to grooming she was a kennel technician at a farm and kennel where she took care of the boarding dogs and farm animals. She has also worked as a veterinary assistant, but decided that career was more emotionally taxing for her than other pet service industries.

Savanna is excited to continue to grow in her grooming skills. She would love to expand her grooming education and even try creative grooming and possibly show dog grooming. Besides grooming, Savanna has a 2 year old son that she loves to spend all her extra time with. She enjoys coloring, learning and researching new topics, and puzzling.

Savanna is such a valuable member of our team! We love having her!

Meet Anna!

Anna is 20 years old and has worked at Sunchaser Kennels for about a year and a half. Her favorite part of working at Sunchaser is taking care of the dogs, playtimes with the dogs, and seeing pets reunite with their owners. Anna grew up with horses, dogs, and cats. She currently has a 1 year old golden retriever named Bo (pictured). Anna has an Associates degree in Business Administration and is currently studying at Mount St. Mary’s to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Anna hopes to one day own her own business. When she is not at work or studying, Anna coaches beach volleyball and loves to hangout with friends and workout.

We love having Anna on our team! She is a hard worker and a great team player.

BIG NEWS 📣 Introducing Day Camp!

Our new day train program is the perfect balance, great for all breeds and ages. Think of it as an elevated daycare where your dogs get to have a blast and work on skills such as:

Leash manners, tackling heavy pulling and creating a loose lead walk.
General manners such as jumping, counter surfing, and demand barking.
Impulse control.
Confidence building and agility exercises.
Basic and advanced obedience (sit, down, heel, stay, place, and come).
Clear marker foundation (yes, good, no, & free).
Structured play and socialization.
Exposure to farm animals and real life distractions.
Local field trips / outings.
+ so much more!

A little more about this four week program and what you need to know :

✨ Includes a total of 16 day train days + 5 private sessions.

✨ Drop off is Monday - Thursday between 7:30am - 9am & pick up is between 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Sunchaser Kennels.

✨ At the end of each training week we will have a lesson at Sunchaser going over what your dog has worked on with us and what your homework will be to maintain over the long weekend until the new training week begins.

✨ You will receive photo and video updates during your dog’s time with us.

✨ You will receive one in home training session at the end of your dog’s training program to make sure behaviors are transitioning well.

✨ We will provide a thorough go home packet with tips and training information to follow through with back home.

✨ Training equipment : Treats, training collar (prong, slip, or martingale) and lead.

✨ Investment $2,500.00

As always we require an in person consultation to make sure this program will best suit your dog and their training goals.

Once your dog completes Camp you will receive 50% off private lessons for life, access to day train add ons to your dogs regular boarding stay at Sunchaser, plus board & train refresher weeks.

Devon and Brittany have been doing some heavy brain storming to create something new and fresh that is just as effective and successful. This is a great option for clients who want to be hands on involved in their dog’s training from the start but is more advanced then our sole private sessions, a budget friendly option compared to some of our larger intensive B&T Camps, and lastly we understand that leaving your dog for an extended period of time is not always easy. This particular program eliminates those lonely nights without while your dog is still working on significant training goals.

Being a new program we’re going to be testing out timing / length and flexibility for everyone. We will adjust accordingly.
