***Tuesday Night Intro to Horses!***

Have a kid who LOVES horses but isn’t quite ready to hop in the saddle? Or maybe they’re a little nervous around horses and just need some time to get comfortable first?

We’re starting a Tuesday evening Intro to Horses class at Willow Run!

This is a fun, hands-on group class where kids can learn all the horse stuff without the pressure of riding.

We’ll cover things like:
• Grooming & basic horse care
• Safely leading and handling horses
• Horse anatomy, colors & markings
• Tack and equipment
• Barn and horse safety
• How horses communicate
• And lots of hands-on time with some of our sweetest, most patient horses

Perfect for complete beginners, horse-crazy kids, or kids who may be a little nervous and want to build their confidence around horses first.

Liv has a few lesson spots available at Willow Run!

We now have lesson horses available for beginners, making it easy for new riders to get started safely and confidently.

Whether you’re brand new to horses, looking to build confidence, or wanting to sharpen your skills for the show pen, Liv does a great job meeting riders where they’re at. Kids are absolutely encouraged and always welcome!

She offers lessons in:
• Showmanship
• Horsemanship
• Trail
• Ranch Rail
• Ranch Trail
• Western Pleasure
• Equitation

Liv is patient, positive, and focuses on building solid fundamentals while keeping lessons fun and productive.

I’m gonna be starting a semi-daily photo dump to keep track of the fun and not-so-fun events here at the farm - because I’ve gotten very behind!

SO many things have happened over the past month or two that I haven’t gotten the chance to share.

1. Our boarder Maddie Bartel and her horse Pepsi placed in FINALS at the NBHA WORLDS the other week!!!!!! SO FREAKING AWESOME.
I got to watch it live and BOY CAN THAT GIRL RUN SOME BARRELS - HOLY SMOKES

2. We got a mini-mule named CHEESE. He’s feral as heck and was neglected for quite some time, we’re working on it. But boy is he CUTE😅

3. Jeramiah built out almost our ENTIRE feed room - there’s so much storage and it’s SO organized 😍😍😍

4. We got our new run-in shed built!! And it’s very pretty 🤩 More shelter for our field boarders - woohoo - no more crowding into run-ins!

5. We got our fancy new arena drag! As Olivia Favorite says, we now have “Crispy Lines” 👌🏼😂

6. We are almost FULL - I have 1-2 stalls left but likely keeping one open for another training board horse. So for now - 1 stall available for a well behaved gelding only. (Sorry mares and mare lovers - we have enough estrogen for the time being)

7. We have built up our lessons and working student programs (Thank you, Liv!)
We’ve got some adults and some littles that are regularly learning lots and lots about riding and horsemanship
