HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS 🎃 👻

Safety For Pets During Halloween:
We want to help you keep your pets safe this Halloween! Some ways to do this is to keep candy out of reach, avoid costumes that cause stress, and try to create a calm environment away from the festivities.
Chocolate is toxic to pets, especially dark and baking chocolate. Even small amounts can be dangerous. Xylitol, a sweetener found in sugar-free candies, is also highly toxic to dogs. Ensure all candy is stored securely and out of reach of pets.
If you choose to dress your pet in a costume, make sure it fits properly and does not restrict movement, sight, or breathing.
Halloween can be overwhelming for pets due to loud noises and unfamiliar costumes. Keep your pets in a quiet room away from the front door during trick-or-treating hours to prevent anxiety and potential escape attempts. Make sure to keep Halloween decorations away from pets as well, especially lit candles and extension cords.
Always consult with your veterinarian if you suspect your pet has ingested something harmful or if you have concerns about their anxiety during the festivities.
