Tied to a tree… pregnant. 😞

🚩URGENT WHELPING FOSTER NEEDED! 🚩

This plea was hard to read, it broke our hearts in more ways than one. We were notified from our partner shelter about a golden mix momma who was left tied to a tree outside a Dollar General Store. Good samaritans witnessed someone jump out, drag her to the tree, quickly tie her to the tree, then speed off. She tried to follow but couldnt, left there, confused. Our hearts break for her. On top of everything, this beautiful girl is expecting puppies and has a ride TOMORROW to Coco’s Heart if we can line up a whelping foster in time.

🍀 It’s St. Patrick’s Day… and we could really use a little luck. 🍀

Today, we’re hoping someone out there might be their lucky charm.

Meet Logan & Juliet — a bonded brother and sister who have been together since the day they were born. For 10 years, they’ve shared everything: their home, their toys, their people, and most importantly… each other.

Now, through no fault of their own, their world has been turned upside down.

Their family is facing major life changes and can no longer keep them. Right now, Logan and Juliet are being boarded at a facility, simply waiting and hoping someone will open their heart and home so they can stay together.

If being a bonded pair wasn’t already a challenge…
If being pitty mixes didn’t already stack the odds against them…
They are also seniors.

But please don’t let that fool you — these two still have so much love (and life!) left to give.

🐾 Logan is a handsome black-and-white boy weighing about 50 lbs.
🐾 Juliet is a beautiful white-and-tan girl weighing about 65 lbs.

They are:
✔️ Potty trained
✔️ Crate trained
✔️ Friendly with adults and children
✔️ Happy to meet other dogs (Juliet is the social butterfly!)
✔️ Food motivated and still love to play

They grew up in a home with children and have done wonderfully with people of all ages.

What they need now is simple: a foster home where they can stay together.

Because after ten years side-by-side… we can’t imagine their story ending any other way.

Going to bed has taken on a new challenge this week. Moufette has now become comfortable to sleep on my bed while I read or watch TV, but the second I call it a night, she runs away. That makes me feel bad - going to sleep when she’s so comfortable. So now I’m staying up much later than I want and then, of course, I end up being tired in the morning. lol

This is the 5th time Tiberius has been featured on our social media in hopes of finding him a foster home. We are hoping that today will be his lucky day and the right person will see this post! 🤞 5th times a charm, right?!

Tiberius (affectionately referred to as Ty) is a 3-year-old neutered male mastiff mix who immediately caught our attention with his stunning good looks and goofball personality. This handsome fella is a big guy, about 95 pounds, so in order to help make things manageable for his future foster and forever home, he needed a little extra help to get on the right track. Tiberius has finished a three-week board & train program where he was working on things like crate training, leash walking, focus on his handler, and general manners. He has come a long way! Now he needs a foster home where he can continue to work on all the skills he has learned while in training. He needs a handler who is comfortable with large dogs and is willing to help Ty practice being his best self.

Love it!

A surprise participant in Wednesday’s action at the Milan Cortina Olympics had four legs and zero concern for race times.

As elite cross-country skiers pushed to the finish in the women’s team sprint heats, a dog wandered onto the course and ran with athletes down the straightaway.

Racers stayed focused as spectators cheered on the canine intruder before it crossed the finish line and was restrained by venue officials. The dog had slipped away from a local owner while out on a nearby walk, officials later said.

After finishing a shift in the ER, Regina Martínez trained for a dream most people would have put on hold.

A 33-year-old ER doctor in Miami, she first discovered cross-country skiing during her medical internship in Minnesota. When her residency took her 2,800 miles away from snow, it could have ended there.

Instead, she trained on roller skis over pavement and worked as a dog walker for $10 an hour to fund trips back to the mountains.

Now, Regina has made history as the first woman to represent Mexico in cross-country skiing at . After completing the women’s 10km free race, despite coming in last place, she was embraced and cheered at the finish line by fellow athletes, marking a historic moment for Mexico and showing exactly what women’s sports are about.

This sweet mama is completely shut down in the shelter environment. The noise, the constant motion, the stress… it’s just too much for her gentle heart. Roxy needs a quiet, loving foster home where she can finally exhale and bring her puppies into the world feeling safe.
