Program Participant Torryn had no horse experience before joining us. She had goals of becoming healthier, more fit, and more confident.
Her dedication to learning to develop her mind and body have led her to her first time riding the trot safely and successfully!!
New situations that happen rapidly (and in this case also require more strength than one is used to) often trigger the fight or flight response and riders can easily "forget" everything we have been teaching their bodies. Learning to override that response and think through new stressful situations so that one can respond accurately and safely takes PRACTICE and EFFORT. We can clearly see here the WORK Torryn haa put in to be focused, strong and relaxed.
We are VERY proud of our gal!!!
Torryn is riding lesson mare Aya Bezatella. The running ranch joke among the participants is "Tella is always right" because she is safe, but a tattle tail and expects the most out of her students. 💜🦄💜
