Wardrobe change for Moonshine. With a lot of patience and a LOT of cookies, I was able to switch to something that won’t slide on her face as much. It’s a smidge tighter than I prefer but hopefully I’ll be able to loosen it up in a day or two. Tied on a quick release tab with baling twine for safety.

Tiki has been on the back burner this week while I worked client horses. So a good trail ride later (2.9 miles with 260 ft elevation gain) she needed a bath afterwards.

So now you know that if you put ice boots on a wet feathered horse that ice will form, even in the summer🤣

With Moonshine still being a nervous girl to new items in her area, I’m using a bit of exposure training by placing new items in her area so that she can interact with them at liberty. So when a few old saddles pads needed to be thrown away, I reappropriated them as training tools for her.

I’m sure in a day or two they will be half way across the pen😊

Horse number 2 today for me was Slick. This dude is so much fun to work with, he is really setting himself up underneath me and is already very light and balanced for a young horse. Enjoying what I do doesn’t hurt either.
