🚨 URGENT – WE NEED HELP NOW 🚨

I am beyond desperate. We are at a critical point and cannot keep going without immediate help.

Last year’s fundraiser gave us a small window of breathing room, and I am forever grateful to every single person who stepped up ā¤ļø But that window is gone. Since then, we’ve been hit with multiple emergencies at the rescue — burst and frozen pipes, repairs just to keep the facility safe and tolerable for our dogs — along with devastating personal losses already this year.

Right now, the reality is simple and terrifying: if we don’t get help immediately, we cannot sustain this rescue.

Bills due NOW:
• Rent: $2,000
• Electric: $1,100
• Water / Gas / Internet / Trash: $280
• VM Veterinary: over $1,200
• Maness Veterinary: over $3,000
• Plus food for dogs, barn cats/mousers, supplements, and daily care needs

These dogs depend on us — and we are depending on YOU. Even small donations add up. Please help if you can, and please share if you can’t donate.

šŸ™ Thank you to the angels who continue to help, even when I don’t ask. We truly would not still be here without you. ā¤ļø

Valentine's shirt! Order ASAP! Proceeds go to our rescue!

description

02/01/2026

The cashier scanned the chicken. ā€œ$12.99,ā€ she said.

I reached for my credit card… and my blue-grey Cane Corso decided to ā€œhelp.ā€

He stood there like a well-trained gentleman, chest out, eyes calm, then casually rested his heavy little chin right on the counter, inches from the card reader. And that’s when gravity did what gravity always does.

A long, thick, absolutely disrespectful string of drool slowly slid from his jowls like it had all the time in the world.

I watched it in slow motion.
The cashier watched it.
My Cane Corso watched it, completely unbothered, like he was supervising an important mission.

And then…

Splat.

It landed directly on the keypad.

I froze. My soul left my body.
ā€œI… I don’t have a napkin,ā€ I whispered, fully humbled in public.

The cashier didn’t even flinch. She laughed, grabbed a paper towel, wiped it like she’d seen worse, and said,
ā€œHoney, I’ve got a big drooly dog at home. This is nothing.ā€

I wanted to disappear. My Cane Corso? He looked proud. Like he just tipped her.

We finished up and walked back to the car, and that’s when he really turned on the main-character energy.

He carried his bright yellow chicken toy proudly in his mouth, head held high, marching through the parking lot like he had just conquered an entire nation. People stared. Some smiled. One guy nodded like, ā€œRespect.ā€

I opened the back of the SUV and he hopped in like royalty returning to the castle.

He laid down, rested his chin on his paws, and gave the chicken one soft, sleepy squeak, like a little victory speech.

I climbed into the driver’s seat and looked at him through the rearview mirror.

He looked back at me with those big, soft eyes, heavy-lidded and peaceful, like none of the chaos ever happened. Like he hadn’t just drooled on a public keypad and embarrassed me in front of strangers.

He looked so innocent.
So perfect.
So loved.

And I realized something, sitting there with drool on my jeans and dignity in the gutter.

No matter the public humiliation.
No matter the mess.
No matter the destruction of property.

Seeing him that happy is worth every penny.

But we are DEFINITELY ordering from Amazon next time.

I cannot agree more! Mine go to Cassie annually for their dentals, its very affordable, especially with dogs/rescues who have bad genetic dentician. Follow your vets advice about dental health as bad dental health can cause so many other health issues in any species!

The Totally True (Definitely Not Made Up) Origin of Doggie Dental Month

Long ago —actually like way back — February was just a cold, awkward month. No holidays, no personality, just vibes and slush. Then Valentine’s Day happened. Cards. Candy. Romance. Chocolates shaped like anatomically incorrect organs… babies were shooting all passersby..

Here’s where things went wrong:
Dogs, being dogs, absolutely did NOT understand why humans were exchanging food and then not sharing it. Confusion turned into resentment. Resentment turned into chewing. Shoes were lost. Furniture fell. One very important couch leg was never the same.

Legend says a group of dogs held an emergency meeting (location undisclosed). The consensus was clear:
ā€œIf humans are celebrating love with food… we should at least have good teeth for it.ā€

Around the same time, veterinarians noticed something odd. Every February, dogs were:
• kissing more
• begging harder
• chewing with passion
• smiling like they had secrets

And unfortunately… their breath was committing crimes.

Somewhere between a heart-shaped box of chocolates and a questionable dog kiss, it was decided:
February would forever be Doggie Dental Month.

Because nothing says love like:
• healthy gums
• strong teeth
• and kisses that don’t make you reconsider your life choices
Is any of this medically accurate?
No.
Does it make sense?
Also no.
But here we are.
February. Love. Teeth. Destiny.
Schedule your dog’s dental. They’ve been waiting since the couch incident…… and THIS MONTH ONLY get your doggie in for their celebratory doggie dental and… den… (ran out of fitting d words).. you get 15% off!!!

I feel this immensely daily!

I feel this immensely daily!

I’m a professional dog trainer of 23 years, so here’s a list of things I can guarantee you my dogs are better at than most -

1. Begging for food. That’s right. My dogs 100% know how to turn on the drool and charm when I’m eating or cooking. Does it work? Maybe. Do I always pay cheese tax? Absolutely.

2. Taking over my furniture and bed. Yes. My dogs sleep with me, lay on me, take up real estate on the couch, my lap and anywhere else they find comfort.

3. Getting super excited at greetings. My dogs jump up and hug me all the time. In fact, I don’t ever wear anything I care about. It’s super fun in summertime when I’m in shorts.

4. Chewing stuff that isn’t theirs. Shoes, the corner of a rug, we’ve even lost a chair leg to adolescent teething. Toys? Oh sure they have TONS of them, that I rotate and fill with food and freeze and hide - but what are toys compared to a family heirloom?

5. Ignoring me. Why come back when I’m calling them when it matters most? Why not make me stand in my underwear at 5am for a few minutes. They sure do love to keep me on my toes. It’s even better when it’s in public and I’ve just told people I’m a dog trainer!

6. Getting sick at the worst possible times. It’s not a vacation if someone doesn’t start pooping water or ingest something unknown while I’m gone. Or when I’ve just finished putting the kids to bed and cleaning the house, they are SO good at vomiting right at the bottom stair so I can step in it barefoot on my way downstairs to ā€œrelaxā€.

7. Barking at nothing, and everything, at all times. Leaf fall? Vacuum going? Small creak in floor? We could all die and they keep me safe. Without them, I may fall into the awful spiral of having peace and quiet, and who wants that?

8. Pointing out my flaws. Nothing like an adolescent saint bernard or a screaming dachshund to make you recognize you need more work on your patience, timing and delivery. If it weren’t for them, I’d never have to really work on myself!

9. Leaving too soon. Just as we’ve figured out all of each other’s idiosyncrasies and habits and settle into a friendship of a lifetime, they have to go. We get a few amazing years together, and then my heart gets absolutely shattered, yet I still wouldn’t have it any other way. And THEN, I choose to take the journey all over again.

10. Being my best friends. Long day, feeling gloomy, struggling to see a bright side? They are there through all of it. Making me laugh, keeping me grounded, never taking things too seriously and always ready to try again for me. At my best and my worst they adore me, what better friends can you get than that?

I’m a dog trainer, but I still have dogs. They are not perfect, neither am I. My dogs are still allowed to be dogs as they accept that I’m still allowed to be a human. They are gonna dig a hole in my favorite spot of the yard and I’m going to take away the soggy tennis ball they found in the swamp. They will shred a new bed I bought for them and I’ll ask them to walk politely next to me instead of dragging me down. They will bark at a suspicious plastic bag and I will ask them to perform silly behaviors in front of people. They need to smell a tree branch for 10 minutes and I want to watch this new Netflix documentary. It’s a two way street and I’ve learned to embrace it instead of try to control it. That’s the only way I’ve found for it to be truly fair to them and to myself.

If you want a dog trainer who doesn’t advocate for allowing dogs to be dogs, and humans to be humans, and finding a compromise that’s fair and humane, I’m not your trainer - and that’s okay with me. They aren’t here long enough to make such big deals out of such little things for the level of friendship and devotion we get in return with them. Love your dogs everyone. For them, and for you.

It's a Double Gotcha Day!!! Sasha and Aspyn were adopted together and are going to live their best lives in Chicago!!!

We couldn't be more grateful for this duo, Sasha doesn't like "in your face" dogs and Aspyn is perfect with her and respects her boundaries!

My 2 favorite breeds, living life together, forever!

About us:

Adriana’s Saints and Angels Rescue has been a dream of Adriana Kelso’s since she was 8 years old, to save the lives of all animals and wildlife. So Adriana and her Mom, Shannon Synosky, finally made it happen by founding Adriana’s Saints and Angels Rescue in March 2019! We also allow adoption of our animals NATIONWIDE and to Canada, we also can provide transport door-to-door for any of our animals! We are only rescuing domestic animals at this time, but we hope to eventually be able to have a sanctuary for all domestic animals and wildlife. Adriana’s Saints and Angels Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit Oklahoma Corporation seeking our 501c3 designation (application pending approval). We hope you will support us as we fight this journey in rescue to save lives! We are 100% Foster based at this time, which means that we do NOT HAVE A SHELTER or location for you to come view our pets available for adoption. We do have adoption events all over Oklahoma at least once a month, check out our events page for one near you! Our motto is ā€œPeople Helping Paws, Paws Helping Peopleā€. We truly believe that our rescues are not only saved by their families but often also in return save their adopters or fosters! Rescues have so much love to give and so much to teach us in return about forgiveness and unconditional love! We have both specialty specific breed dogs and rescues that came from some really awful conditions, the forgiveness to humans and love of a rescue is beyond what we can even begin to describe! We can only urge you to take a chance, save a life and rescue an animal via foster or adoption!

Adopt! If you cannot adopt, Foster. If you cannot Foster, Sponsor one of our pets! If you cannot sponsor, Volunteer! We are always looking for help at events and fundraisers!

All animals are living with Volunteer Foster Families whom are so generous to provide loving homes, they provide all love and daily care until they are adopted. We pay for all medical expenses and do our best to assist in food & supply costs through donations. This can be a few weeks or several months, it all depends on the pet and its specific needs. They stay with the Foster family while we get all medical needs addressed, full health exams, dental care if needed, all vaccines, spay/neuter, micro-chips and current on Heartwork/Flea/Tick prevention. Our pets will not be adoptable until they can pass a health check and have all required medical care including spay/neuter. We do also have a foster-to-adopt program available for those whom are local and want to care for the animal while we get all the medical care completed. We do occasionally have some pets that are hospice cases that need the right home to love them until the end of their lives, but otherwise we have all our pets get a full health workup within a few days of arrival. If it has been more than 90 days since the last health check, they will have a full health check again to be sure everything is still great, before heading to their forever homes. We also have FREE training classes for our fosters and adopters - we want you to have the best pet with great manners, this is at no cost to you but donations are greatly appreciated! We do what is best for the animal, above all else, above all costs! Check out our events page for the next basic obedience class date!

If you would like to become a Foster parent, Adoptive parent or meet any of our adoptable puppies please come to one of our many adoption events or fill out an adoption application online (link provided below) or you can email us at [email protected] to request the application.
