Our town’s animal shelter deserves better.
The budget they’re expected to operate on is honestly shameful, and it’s heartbreaking to see the conditions the dogs have to endure — let alone the human employees who show up every day and do the best they can with what they have.
I would absolutely love to see our community find a way to raise enough money for a new shelter someday. Our town is growing and developing rapidly, and there’s nothing wrong with that — but the animal shelter cannot continue to be an afterthought while everything else moves forward.
They already operate with so few resources, and now they’re desperately in need of pet food.
We're donating $100 worth of food, and we’ll be delivering it directly to the shelter. Trust me, this won't last long for them.
If you’re in a position to help, please consider doing so. You can drop food donations off anytime at the Tuttle Police Station. OR If you can't go get it, Ill do it for you. You can venmo me. Even $5, $10, — it all matters. No amount is too small, and I know every bit of it will be appreciated.
These dogs didn’t choose to end up there, and the people caring for them shouldn’t have to stress about how to keep their bowls full 💚. If there was ever a sore spot for me, this is it. Our town can do so much better. We've got to come up with something. My Venmo is in the comments if you'd like to donate. Thank you!
