Another day another new grad! We are excited to introduce you all to Dr. Hailey!
“I was born and raised in Turlock, CA where I grew up showing dairy cows in 4-H and FFA. I was actively involved in the Modesto Portuguese Pentecost Association and served as a centennial queen. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science from Cal Poly, SLO in 2021. While at Cal Poly I worked as a milker on the dairy and helped put on FFA field days. I was extensively involved in Western Bonanza and the Los Lecheros Dairy Club.
I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California Davis in 2026. While at Davis, I worked on many livestock species, including sheep, goats, sw**e, cattle and exotic hoof stock such as deer, water buffalo and zebu. I have a particular interest in bucking stock and worked with them for a large portion of my clinical year (ask me about my coolest patients!). I also have a soft spot for small ruminants and greatly enjoy working with their quirky personalities. Ultimately my love for cattle is what brought me into this profession and I am excited to be back in my hometown to serve the dairies I grew up around!
When I’m not working you can find me hanging out with my rescue dachshund (Winnie aka Ween), spending time with my family and friends, attending festas, reading, w**e tasting, traveling and getting to the beach anytime I get the chance!”
