Flea control is a battle that every pet owner deals with. Most owners use the topical liquid that is at the local store. But sometimes that isn’t enough. The topical and oral flea treatments are great at eliminating fleas but that is only after the flea bites your pet. Animals with flea allergies are known to continue to itch way after the initial flea bite. Also pets can continue to get fleas from their environment from local stray cats.

BREED SPOTLIGHT: Rottweiler

The Rottweiler breed is a working breed that has had different jobs over the years. They were originally bred in Ancient Rome to drive cattle and pull carts.
Later, in Germany, the Rottweiler was still being used as a cattle driver and due to their protective nature some butchers would tie their money to their Rottweilers for safe keeping.
As railways began to replace cattle driving, less people began to need Rottweilers and the breed almost went extinct.
Many countries began to notice that a strong and protective dog could be used for military and police use and revived the breed.
The Rottweiler is a strong breed designed for strong and tough jobs. Therefore, the Rottweiler breed is not a low maintenance breed. It requires structure, training, and physical/mental stimulation.
A well maintained Rottweiler is a great dog. Whereas a poorly maintained Rottweiler is seen as a dangerous and unpredictable animal.
