🪂 A Tumwater Veterinary Hospital Tradition Continues! 🪂

What started three years ago as a bucket-list adventure for a few team members has grown into a favorite tradition here at Tumwater Veterinary Hospital.

This year, busy schedules made it difficult to get the whole group together, but Veterinary Assistant Jadyn, Dr. Kristen Pitsenbarger, and Christy, our Office Manager, were able to keep the tradition alive.

For Kristen and Christy, this marked jump #3. For Jadyn, it was jump #1, and it's safe to say she's officially hooked!

While we spend every day working together to care for pets and support one another, there's something unforgettable about stepping out of a perfectly good airplane together. Experiences like these challenge us, build trust, strengthen relationships, and remind us that great teams are built both inside and outside the workplace.

We're grateful for the amazing people who make up Team TVH and the adventures that bring us even closer together. 💙🐾

And while we missed having the rest of the crew with us this year, we're already looking forward to next year's jump and hoping even more Team TVH members can join the adventure!

🐾 Welcome to the Family, Fable, Siberian Husky! 🐾

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting sweet Fable for her very first puppy visit with Dr. Kristen Pitsenbarger!

We are happy to report that she is super healthy, full of wiggles, and absolutely stole our hearts. 😍We are so delighted to watch you grow, and look forward to seeing you back for your next round of puppy vaccine boosters.

Sebastian is our one and only clinic cat, and he is very much loved. At 18 years old, he's benefited from a lifetime of great veterinary care.
As some of you know, we lost Poppy this past April — but her spirit is still very much present with us (you can spot her in the background of our photo).

Gracie stopped by today for her leptospirosis booster vaccine and handled it like a champion! 🌟 Of course, no visit would be complete without making her rounds to collect cuddles and belly rubs from every team member. 🥰

💡 Did you know? Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease that can be spread through contaminated water or wildlife urine. It can cause serious illness in both dogs and people, making vaccination an important part of protecting your pup—especially if they love the outdoors! 🌿💦

Summer brings sunshine, travel, cookouts, gardening, and more outdoor adventures, but it can also bring increased risk of toxin exposure for pets.

AAHA teamed up with to highlight common summer pet toxins veterinary teams may encounter, including:

🌊 Blue-green algae

🌿 THC/marijuana products

🌺 Azaleas, rhododendrons, and oleander

🐌 Slug and snail bait

🐭 Rodenticides
