Pony Groundwork Clinic
June 7,2026

Build a responsive safe versatile pony

This clinic is focused on foundational groundwork to create a pony that’s “light to pressure”—Meaning it responds softly and willingly to suttle cues rather than needing heavy force.

The goal is leaving with a more refined, trusting partner.
It’s ideal for :

Show ponies : Better lead-line handling, in hand classes, or presentation .

Obstacle /trail work : Navigating challenges with confidence and precision.

Introduction to liberty training : Building the basics for off lead work, where the pony follows willingly.

Safer ponies for kids: Teaching respect, lightness and calmness for young handlers.

Groundwork like this emphasizes pressure and release techniques, alongside positive reinforcement method, body language, and desensitization , leading to a pony that’s more attuned and less reactive.
I help ponies become lighter, braver, and more enjoyable, especially around children.

Hey friends and new friends to meet …… I got to thinking that for 2026 maybe a few of you would like to know a little more information about me. Where my love for horses started , who I have learned from , what I enjoy doing with my horses and where is my passion .❤️❤️

Enjoy 😁

A little information about myself and were I gained my horsemanship knowledge . Starting at a young age I fell in love with horses and cleaned many horse stalls in trade for lessons from an old timer cowboy . I competed in barrel racing , speed events , and any cow events available.
My passion for training horses really began in my 30’s and I started the journey to learn from local trainers and as many top world trainers as possible . A few of those world trainers that I was lucky enough to ride and learn from are Clinton Anderson , Mustang Maddy , Chris Cox, Carson James, Shawna Kuresch , Sam Vanfleet.
I often mix natural horsemanship (pressure and release ) along side positive reinforcement ( clicker training)
Working with wild mustangs has become a passion of mine .
I have a passion for Helping people learn better communication with their horses that leads to a fun and trusting partnership together. I personally enjoy trail riding , challenging myself and my horses with different obstacles and still dabbling in some barrels and other gaming events , On my bucket list is breakaway roping .
