Zoey the lab pit is a handicap dog with a broken back and pinched nerve leaving her paralyzed from the waist down, but that doesn't slow Zoey down one bit.

This girl is go go go and she's living her best life yet! Zoey had a rough start from the very beginning. She was a beautiful healthy dog who just couldn't seem to find a forever home. After moving house to house that's when Jackie stepped in and decided to keep and love Zoey forever. In April of 2016 Jackie officially adopted Zoey. In October of that same year there was a break in at the family home where Zoey stayed with her Husky sister Coco Ellie. Jackie came home and saw the front and back doors left wide open and both dogs no where to be found. After 2 months of searching Zoey was finally found after being spotted on wildlife cameras, so thanks to many friendly rescue people and volunteers she was rescued from the canyon. Click here to see the rescue story featured on ABC 10 News- https://youtu.be/QjIyk52CsOc

Zoey's husky sister Coco Ellie is unfortunately still missing and the search continues... Jackie still hopes for a reunion one day when Coco Ellie finally comes home.

Zoey now has a broken back and pinched nerve leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. The doctors say she will never walk again but Jackie lives by the motto "never say never'. Zoey goes to therapy on a weekly basis to get laser therapy & acupuncture and Jackie works on range of motion with her daily. Whether Zoey is able to recover and walk remains a mystery but all we know for sure is that Zoey is still the happiest dog living life to the fullest. If there's one thing Zoey & Jackie hope to share with the world it's to never give up on those you love and know that this is an option for dogs that become hurt... handicap pets can still live normal happy lives. Putting animals down because of an injury should NOT be an option unless their quality of life is suffering but by the looks of Zoey she is far from suffering. the way Zoey has always been SO GOOD at communicating things with me, it honestly cracks me up.

I guess she was shivering or something because the moment I turned off the fan she stopped doing that and is back to relaxing peacefully 😂🤭🤍

Zoey and I got to see Babs last night and see a private sneak preview screening of 🤍

Firstly- it was soooo good to see Babs after so many years. Last time they saw each other was at Zoey’s one year rescue reunion party at the physical therapy center we were going to. And this year will be Zoey’s 10th year anniversary of being rescued so just to give you an idea of how long it’s been! 😅🙏

Secondly- the documentary is so beautiful, heartwarming, educational and just raw! You see so much of what Babs goes through on a daily basis, and what she sacrifices in order to rescue missing dogs and educate pet owners. I cried, I laughed and I was on the edge of my seat for so many moments too.

I wish I knew these things 9 years ago when we first started this journey together…

My back would have appreciated it and so would my wallet because of how many times we had to go to the vet for uti medication.
