Bobcat fever is not a condition to wait on.

Cytauxzoonosis is a tick-borne disease that can take a cat from seemingly healthy to critically ill within 24 to 48 hours. It is most common in Oklahoma during tick season, and early treatment is one of the most important factors in survival.

Knowing the signs, including sudden high fever, extreme lethargy, labored breathing, and yellowing of the eyes or gums, can make all the difference.

If your cat has had any tick exposure and is showing these symptoms, do not wait for a regular appointment. Our emergency team is here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. No appointment necessary.

Today we remember and honor those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and dedication deserve our deepest gratitude. 🇺🇸

While many veterinary hospitals are closed today to allow their teams to be with family, our doctors, nurses, and support staff are here, as they are every day of the year, providing compassionate care to pets who need them most. Emergencies do not follow a calendar, and neither do we.

We are grateful for every member of our team who shows up on the holidays, through the nights, and on the hardest days.

Lawn season is here, and so is a question worth knowing the answer to before you fertilize.

Most lawn fertilizers contain ingredients that are genuinely dangerous to dogs. Liquid products need a minimum of two to six hours to dry completely. Granular products require at least 24 hours for full soil absorption. And some common w**d and feed formulas stay hazardous longer than the label suggests.

Our latest blog breaks down what makes these products harmful, what symptoms to watch for, and what to do if your dog is exposed.

“Dr. Ricker is an outstanding Veterinary Surgeon, and I will forever be grateful for the incredible care he gave my precious 12-year-old Chihuahua, Daisy. He successfully performed an extremely difficult surgery removing her nonfunctioning left kidney, spleen, and gallbladder, and he did an amazing job.

What sets Dr. Ricker apart is not only his remarkable skill and brilliance, but also his compassion and dedication. He went above and beyond with Daisy’s post-surgery care, always treating her and our family with kindness and genuine concern.

His entire team was equally compassionate, knowledgeable, and devoted to Daisy’s well-being. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ricker and his staff to anyone seeking exceptional care for their beloved pets.”

Stories like Daisy’s are why our surgical team shows up every day. Board-certified care means more than credentials. It means experience, precision, and compassionate care when it matters most.
