Hi there! I’m Jennah Turner, owner of Klever-K9!
Most people ask how I got into dog training, so let me break it down for ya ☺️
Growing up I always had a passion for dogs. Our first dog was a boxer and we got really lucky with her, she was just perfect in all ways! My senior year of high school I started working as a kennel tech assistant at an animal hospital in town where I ended up helping one of the vets wives with the dog rescue she ran. It always really bothered me when dogs got returned for behavioral problems; I wanted to fix them but didn’t know how to.
My passion to help was recognized by a local professional dog trainer, who invited me to shadow and explore the field as a career. By the end of this experience, I knew dog training was my calling, so I pursued formal certification through Animal Behavioral College. Later I served as a lead trainer and managed the daycare program for three years. One of the Boxers I had at the time developed some aggression issues that I wasn’t getting answers for, so in 2016 I started looking at furthering my education to be able to help Wrigley.
In January of 2017, I attended Tom Rose Dog Training School in St. Louis, Missouri, where I acquired knowledge in behavioral modification, basic and advanced obedience, agility, search and rescue, scent detection, and how to properly use different training tools. During school was also when I got Floki as a puppy; he was one of the dogs I had to pass physical test with. When school wrapped up I went home and was able to fully help Wrigley 😉 This made me want to help so many more.
I then became interested in service dogs, so beginning of 2018 I attended Highland Canine Dog Training School in North Carolina; certified on how to train PTSD, handicap, seizure alert, and autism assistant service dogs. The end of 2018, I moved back to Tulsa and started my business.
Wrigley gave me the desire to want to help other dog owners who felt hopeless; Floki opened my eyes to what dogs were truly capable of doing 💙
Let’s go into 2026 giving your dog everything they deserve!
