Tulsa Animal Services (TAS) will be at the Mayor's Community Conversations, and it's one of the best ways to talk to us face-to-face.

If you've dealt with loose dogs, found a stray, had questions about what to do ( or why we do it), or just want to understand how to handle something better next time... come talk to us.

We'll be there to answer question about:

🐾 How our shelter works
🐾 Fostering, adoption, and how you can help

And we're here to listen, too. What you're seeing out there matters, it helps us do our jobs better.

A week from today is going to be big... some might even say π— π—˜π—šπ—”!

Our TAS foster dogs are ready for the Humane Society of Tulsa's MEGA Adoption Event! If you have been waiting to meet any of our pups, next Saturday, June 6, is the time.

Our team is very excited to attend with the other amazing animal organizations from around Tulsa and beyond.

Foster Friday: Meet Evee!

This 2-year-old hound mix weighs about 30 lbs., but her personality is much bigger than that. Evee is curious, playful, and fully believes she should be included in absolutely everything. According to her foster, if she thinks fun is happening without her, you'll hear some classic hound dog "'hoot n' hollerin'" about it.

Before coming to the shelter, Evee was found tied behind a store with no food or water for hours until a Good Samaritan stepped in to help. Despite that, she's still incredibly loving and ready to find her people.

Evee is house trained, loves kids, and desperately wants to play with her foster dog sibling once she's fully recovered from kennel cough. She would do best in a home without cats or other small animals due to her prey drive.

She is heartworm positive, but don't let that scare you away - TAS will cover the cost of her treatment. Her adopter will just need to bring her to scheduled appointments.

One thing to now about Evee? She does not enjoy kennels and would much rather be close to her human at all times. Honestly, she's just a girl who wants to be included.

This girl has OPINIONS, energy, and serious main character energy. Evee is a 2-year-old hound mix who loves toys, loves people, and absolutely refuses to miss out on the fun.

After being found tied behind a store with no food or water, she's now thriving in foster care and ready for a forever home that can match her playful spirit.

⭐Expert-level squeaky toy enthusiast

Weekly Report Card | May 18-24, 2026
This week, 224 animals came through our doors.
Because of our amazing community of adopters, fosters, rescue partners, and volunteers, 101 pets found positive outcomes and got their next chance.

72 adoptions (48 dogs, 21 cats)
17 reunited with their families
12 transferred to rescue partners

Our weekly save rate is 84%, and our year-to-date save rate is 83%.

Here’s the reality right now:
We currently have 291 dogs in a space designed for 176.
128 animals are in foster homes right now, getting a break from the shelter and a better chance of adoption.

Every adoption. Every foster. Every share. It creates space immediately. If you’ve been waiting for the β€œright time” to step in β€” this is it.
