We’re at PetSmart until 2PM today!!! We have Misty, Presley, and Bandit with us today. Come out and say hi! 🩷

Misty is a fun loving girl who adores any dog she meets! Presley is a playful older gal who would never turn down a toy. Bandit is calm and laid back who’s always ready for anything!

All of these sweet babies would make wonderful family dogs. 🐶

UPDATE: He has a foster-to-adopt meeting Thursday at 2pm.

This is Lee. He enjoys walks, stuffed animals, meeting new people, getting belly rubs, and wearing costumes. Lee has been an airplane and a cowboy, but the next thing that Lee would like to be is Adopted. This handsome guy has just passed his one year anniversary with us. We have had him for 374 days and it’s time he got a loving family of his own outside of the shelter.

We are at Petsmart this weekend from 11a-2p on Saturday. Would anyone like to be a dog walker? We’re looking for four!

We have had an individual requesting assistance. If you are able to help, please email [email protected] and I will put you in contact with the individual.

The individual has a relative's dogs. The two dogs are four and five years old. The relative is currently incarcerated. The individual is 81 years old and has Parkinson's Disease. The dogs are medium sized dogs, but they have energy and the individual states that they pull the leash when walking if they get distracted. For this reason, along with being kept from the home due to doctor's appointments, the individual asked us to make a request for a foster until June 11th.

All arrangements would be made through this individual, not the shelter. We simply have the information to pass on. Hopefully, we will have photos of the dog soon. (I will update it if they come through.)

The individual states that they are both good dogs, but they are too much for someone in their situation to handle.

$30 off means a cat is $5 and a dog under 50 pounds with cone and pain meds is $45. The price is more for over 50 pounds but will still be discounted $30
(if your pet does not have proof of rabies it will receive one for an additional $10).
Animals need to be at least 4 months old. No dogs over 100 pounds.
Males will attract females from miles away. Males will try to produce a litter with any and all females that come along. Neutering males is essential for reducing pet overpopulation. These funds are specifically designated by the donor for males. This is only for pets of owners in Bedford, Coffee, Marshall and Moore counties. (If you live in other counties and need help call us and we will try to help with other income based funds).

Today’s Strays:

The first dog was found early this morning at Walmart with a collar and leash attached.

The second dog was found at the new Dollar Tree.

Proof of current rabies vaccination is required to reclaim, so please bring your paperwork to the shelter.

Maggie has been sleeping in our bathroom. This morning, she let us know that I accidentally left a box of paper where she could get to it and it apparently exploded on its own. (This fortunately was a size of paper that doesn't fit our printer, we'd just been holding onto it in case we found something to do with it.)

I would like to take this time to mention that Maggie is available to foster-to-adopt. She is a very sweet and intelligent girl. If she doesn't go to a foster home before this Saturday, she will be with us at Tractor Supply Animal Days from 11a-2p.

We are needing 4-6 walkers for this event on Saturday May 30th from 11a-2p. We are still finalizing which dogs will be coming with us.

As a reminder, we will not be at Tractor Supply for our normally scheduled event this month. Instead, we will be there on May 30th to attend their Animal Days event. Make sure to come out and see us from 11 AM to 2 PM. We will also have Tully out meeting people and giving high-fives.
