It's always the expensive ones that want to have problems.... I didn't catch it until now since he is VERY defensive and stressy, so I don't handle him as much. That's about to change now....
This guy apparently had fecaliths backing up everything and seeing as one of my first boas passed away from complications of this waay back in the day (even with vet help), it had me a little stressed.. Thankfully a warm bath, half a mL of olive oil and a bump in temp did the trick! Time to make sure this won't be a recurring issue!
DISCLAIMER: I don't recommend giving olive oil by yourself or without veterinary help/direction. Oil is very easily aspirated and can lead to other issues if given incorrectly. I have worked in vet med (and still am) for well over a decade. I have learned the safest ways to give it, and even that can be dangerous if not done right. Always consult your exotics vet before doing anything past a warm water soak or before giving anything to your exotics!
