On or around September 15, dog owners in Washington County will receive an email or letter from DocuPet. The Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter is partnering with this company on dog licensing. Please open whatever they send – it’s legit! You’ll now have the option to personalize your dog’s license tag, and you’ll benefit from DocuPet’s HomeSafe 24/7 lost pet service should your dog ever go missing while wearing their license tag. As an added bonus, this partnership saves us money, allowing us to dedicate these resources to animal welfare services, including caring for stray, sick, and injured animals, as well as investigating animal abuse and neglect.

All dogs six months and older in Washington County, Oregon must be licensed, and a current rabies vaccine is required for the license to be valid. See comments for the website link to license your dog for the first time or renew an existing license.
