Looking for the right dog trainer can feel like a lot, but it gets easier when you know what to ask.

Start with your goals: What do you want help with—leash manners, anxiety, aggression, puppy basics, off-leash control? Do you prefer private, in-home, or small group sessions?

Talk with a few trainers directly. Notice how they listen, how clearly they explain their plan, and whether their style feels like a good match for you and your dog. Be wary of one-size-fits-all packages and big promises without details.

Helpful questions:

• How would you tailor training to my dog and my household?

• What does progress usually look like week to week?

You don’t need the “perfect” method. You need a trainer you trust, who communicates well, and who adapts to your dog. If you’re in Tucson and want to talk through options, we’re happy to answer questions and help you figure out what’s best for your dog—whether you work with us or not.

Summer in Tucson doesn’t just bring heat—it also brings fireworks, especially around the 4th of July and local events. For many dogs, fireworks, like thunderstorms, are terrifying, leading to stress, escape attempts, and destructive behavior.

Top Safety Tips for Dogs:

3. Keep Dogs Indoors: Never walk your dog during firework displays. Plan walks early in the day and keep them secure at night. We can help even the most nervous pup learn door etiquette and train them not to run away.

2. Update ID Tags & Microchip: Many dogs run away during fireworks. Make sure their collar has up-to-date contact info.
