Update:
Adopted!
Ukulele - 2 year old female terrier mix
Ukulele has the unmistakable energy of a mom who has seen everything, handled everything, and is still somehow the one keeping the whole operation running smoothly.
This 2-year-old scruffy Terrier weighs 13 pounds and came into rescue with her son, Fiddle.
In play groups, you'll often find her doing what she does best: participating while simultaneously supervising. She's social and friendly, but she also likes to keep an eye on things. Is everyone behaving appropriately? Excellent. Is there a toy dispute brewing? She's already aware of it. Ukulele seems to have appointed herself the unofficial director of quality assurance.
Ukulele also has that wonderfully scruffy look that makes it seem like she just finished solving three problems, organizing a committee meeting, and reminding everyone to bring a jacket. Her expressive face always appears to be processing at least two thoughts ahead of everyone else.
And while some dogs are content to simply go with the flow, Ukulele prefers to set the tune. Not in a bossy way more in a "someone should probably be keeping this train on the tracks" kind of way.
At the end of the day, she's a loving companion with a gentle heart, a social spirit, and enough personality to keep life interesting. She's ready to retire from full-time supervisory duties and focus on the things that really matter: walks, cuddles, snacks, and a family of her own.
Ukulele is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and tested negative on her 4DX for heartworm and tick-borne disease.
