We have been holding a Pampered Chef Party every August for the last several years. It really helps us since Pampered Chef's Fundraiser amount is DOUBLED this month. Yes we have been on an intake freeze and have been able to take in a few here and there because a foster has stepped up. BUT, we still need to take care of the ones in our Rescue. We have several that are on medications, a couple of Seniors that are now requiring more then the others in Rescue. We have one that has recently had a Texas Gi Panel (still waiting results). We need to feed them, vaccinate them, a couple of Dentals, wound care.......the list is always there and will be as long as there are dogs in the rescue. We will be celebrating 14 years in ten more days. As always please share this post.

Update
Unfortunately we need to cancel tonight's (Friday 8/7) visit to Petsmart. At this time Saturday 8/8 is still scheduled.
Yippee!!! I finally get to make the announcement.
Clarissa here, I am quieter then Darby. I sometimes take a little bit to warm up to strangers, I am still working on my leash skills so my human says. I just don't like to explore new areas. In my foster home I get along with all of the dogs, even Darby. I do like to curl up in a lap once I know you. I need to know what the other dogs are doing at home, I don't want to miss out on anything.
Saturday (tomorrow) Aug 8 both Darby and myself will be at the Petsmart Grant and Swan from 10am to 1pm.

Oh where or where am I landing this weekend? Oh! I am landing tonight Friday July 31st at the Petsmart at Grant and Swan. from 3:30 to 5:30. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. So come on by and say hi, I like meeting new people while I search for my Furever Home.

Darby here again.... I get to share the limelight with my sister Clarissa Saturday July 25th, Petsmart at Wetmore and Oracle (4374 N Oracle Road) from 3pm to 5pm. We will be with our good friends from Pathways for Paws.
Shhhhh...don't let Clarissa know I said this, "I"m the cute one". My human just said I looked like a bat, just because I was under my blanket with just my nose and one of my ears sticking out. I just don't know about that human sometimes. It's not my fault just because I love blankets and think everyone I see is mine. Okay, my human said I have to say something nice about Clarissa., so here goes....Clarissa makes a good pillow when we are sleeping in our crate, she's an okay sister.
So come on out and say hi to us and all the other pups that will be there.

My human just had to take a picture of me as I am resting up for tomorrow. So I might as well let you all know that I will be at the Petsmart at El Con Mall 3695 E Broadway, between Target and Home Depot. Saturday July 18th from 12 to 2 pm. I will be joining (with my human since I can't drive) our friends at Pathways for Paws. I have also added the cute picture of me. So stop by and say hello to everyone, you just might find a new friend, I'm still waiting for mine to pop up...... Gotta keep an eye on that human, at least she feeds me.,,,,,,, "Darby!! Be nice"

Clarissa and Darby want to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July and to stay safe! Remember most fireworks are illegal within Tucson city limits, even though they sell them does not mean they are legal! Fireworks are very scary to our pets, livestock, and wildlife. Many pets and other animals have died from being so scared and stressed. Secure your fences even if you are home, a scared pet will do everything they can to get away. Have ID on your pet, name and phone number on their collars, if they are mircochipped make sure your information is current with whom you registered the chip with. If you haven't registered the chip do so NOW! If you are driving please be aware that there will be more stray, scared pets that are confused and trying to get away from the noise. We will assume adoptions after the holiday to keep those in our care safe. Going into a new home and dealing with the fireworks in a strange environment is super stressful.
