Lots of inquiries hitting my inbox about obtaining stock now that I’ve announced I’m getting out of rabbits. Please watch this in its entirety for details about how I will be disseminating the herd.

Other common inquiries:
-what varieties do you have? Black, BEW, REW, Tort, Chestnut, Otter, Fox, Broken, Steel — there are other varieties too but this makes up the majority of my herd.

-will equipment be available? YES, all of my carriers will be available at Convention (all 6-hole adjustable from KW) as well as risers, coop cups, etc. and my barn equipment will likely be available before the end of the year (10 of the 12-hole apartment stackers from KW and 4 of the 20-hole growout stackers made by Bass; all outfitted with top fill water bottles and j-feeders) so feel free to inquire with me about those but remember I’m located in southern Arizona so you need to be able to get them. 😊

-what are you keeping? Nothing. Unlike some other breeders who have “gotten out” and then pop up with rabbits a while later, I am not retaining any of my stock or equipment. So everything is up for grabs! 😊

VENTILATION — imperative for health and condition. This was a great question that came through and I’m offering up what I do and have done, but every barn and climate is unique so many other breeders will have good advice to give for circumstances that pertain to your local weather, etc. 😊

Judges rattle off a lot of comments during a show, many times at a “mile-a-minute” speed. But what do they mean with some of these terms they’re throwing around?

Several youth breeders have asked me what specific terms mean and what it is they’re describing when they say certain things. This video attempts to breakdown some of the most common terms judges use and explains what it is they mean by that.

Rabbit p**p has some unique qualities, and there’s a couple different things coming out of your rabbit. This video is more meant for novices who might be wondering what they’re seeing in the rabbit’s trays.

While I might get the tiniest amount crass and goofy in this video talking about poo, it was a topic that Susie shared she sees lots of people on rabbit groups asking about — thanks for the idea, and hopefully this covers things! 😊

TATTOOING!

In order to show your rabbit in an ARBA Show, its left ear must have a clear, legible, permanent tattoo in the left ear.

Shannon is the tattoo master and shares all of the tips, tricks, and best practices to keep you and your rabbit safe, calm, and comfortable for this process!

This is a longer video but should give you all the answers to questions you’ve been asking me about, “how do you get your tattoos like you do?!” My secret is Shannon, but together we share exactly what we do! Remember the safety and comfort of you and your rabbit is of the utmost importance in the process. 😊🐰😊

When do I decide a junior is ready to show? That’s a fairly easy answer — when it looks ready and seems like it can compete.

If you take nothing else from this video, take that showing super young rabbits doesn’t do you any favors on the table but it also doesn’t do the young rabbit any favors either. I believe that taking something out too young comes with risk for its health and future development. Waiting almost always brings more reward. 😊
