This is the second year we offered a Veterinary Camp offering an exciting hands-on experience for youth interested in animals, veterinary medicine, and science. In partnership with the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, campers explore what it’s really like to be a veterinarian while learning essential skills such as interpreting animal behavior, body condition scoring, biosecurity practices, animal nutrition, and basic animal care.

Whether campers dream of becoming veterinarians or simply love animals, this immersive camp provides a fun and engaging introduction to animal health, science, and potential career pathways. How cool!? 🤎

Still raising fund for the CLAYGROUND!

Be Part of Something Special!
Help Fund (and then build) a Clayground
at Tucson Village Farm

Local artists Lindee Zimmer and Lisa Roonie are launching an exciting new community project held at Tucson Village Farm: the Clayground, a one-of-a-kind earthen playground built from adobe, cob, and natural plasters.

Through a series of free community workshops, families, youth, and community members will have an opportunity to learn ancestral natural building techniques while helping create eight interactive sculptural play structures. This project builds on the success of their recent 9-foot earthen Birdhome, which brought together more than 70 community members through eight hands-on workshops.

The Clayground will expand TVF's impact by creating a permanent space for play, creativity, and learning. Funds will go towards purchasing materials and keep all workshops free and accessible to the community. If you'd like to help us build something that will inspire connection and wonder for generations to come, please consider making a donation today.

Excited to continue sharing these young people’s creations! One of my favorite things about this camp is watching young people realize what they’re capable of. They don’t just learn how to sew. They learn how to take an idea from their imagination and bring it into the real world. That’s confidence. That’s creativity. That’s a skill set that will serve them for life. 💙
