Southern Arizona Reptile Rescue & Education SARR&E is Southern Arizona’s only licensed Reptile Rescue, and a 501(c)3. We provide STEM-Based Educational Presentations to classrooms, clubs & groups.

We offer Reptile Adventure Birthday Parties and have reptiles available for photo and film work.

When the desert horned lizard (Phrynosoma platyrhinos) is thirsty, it cannot just lap up water or scoop it up like a bird because it lives in environments where water is extremely scarce. Typically, it's found in damp soil or, even more rarely, in drops of rain.

🔥🦎 This is the NAMIB WEB-FOOTED GECKO – The Smiling Desert Lizard! ✨😲

Native to the deserts of Namibia, the Namib Web-footed Gecko is a tiny and adorable reptile famous for its big shiny eyes and special webbed feet.

These amazing geckos use their webbed toes like little snowshoes, helping them walk easily across soft desert sand without sinking.

They are nocturnal hunters, coming out at night to catch insects while avoiding the intense desert heat during the day.

✨ Did you know: This gecko can lick moisture from its own eyes to keep them clean and hydrated in the dry desert!
