By partnering with the citizens of our community and other local shelters and rescue groups, Pima Paws For Life is dedicated to building a No Kill Pima County- a community where pets are no longer destroyed just because they are homeless.

*An Adoption Guarantee shelter is one in which every animal is guaranteed a home, unless they are suffering with no hope of recovery or have behavioral problems so severe that they are a threat to the safety of others. Pima Paws For Life believes that every animal's life has value- every life matters. R.I.P sweet Bubba.❤️

Last weekend Bubba's family had to say goodbye. Bubba was known as Kodiak at Pima Paws. He was always a sweet boy but he suffered from severe anxiety, especially when in a kennel & would hurt himself trying to get out. We did what we could to keep him calm and contained but we were very worried about him. Kim reached out to Dawn who agreed to foster him & see how things went. He blossomed in her home. Snuggling with her children, being buds with her other fur babies & she decided to keep him. He was a wonderful addition to her family. This year he was diagnosed with Cushing's. It snuck up & although they did all they could & kept him comfortable, it progressed. Hearts are broken by the loss of this sweet soul but we are forever grateful to Dawn and her family for giving him so much love & such a wonderful life. Run free kind, sweet boy, until we meet again. ❤️

Have you found a lost dog or cat? ❤️ Please don’t give up looking for their family!

Pima Paws for Life is available 7 days a week to scan lost pets for a microchip.
📍 Microchip scanning hours:
🕗 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
🕒 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

We can also hold lost dogs weighing 20 lbs or less, as space is available, while we work to help locate their owner. 🐶❤️
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter, and our goal is to help reunite lost pets with the families who love them.

If you've found a lost pet, please bring them in so we can check for a microchip and help get them home! 🏡🐾

Today we mourn the loss of almost 3000 souls on 9/11/2001. Our hearts go out to all the families & friends of those who were taken on that horrible day. We also honor all the heroes that risked their own lives & some lost to try to save others. Some of us are old enough remember where we were at the time of the attack & the shock, numbness and heartache we experienced. We will never forget.

💔 Thank You for Loving Jedi 💔

We want to thank every single person who donated, shared, prayed, and supported Jedi when he desperately needed veterinary care. Because of you, we were able to give him the care and comfort he deserved.

Unfortunately, today we had to say goodbye to our sweet Jedi. 🌈🐾

Jedi had been battling end-stage kidney failure for quite some time. He also suffered from severe arthritis in his legs as a result of being shot in the past. He had endured more pain and suffering in his lifetime than any dog ever should.

When we brought him in for care, we learned that his liver was now failing, and the mass behind his ear had ruptured. Our veterinarian believed the mass was cancerous.

After everything Jedi had already been through, we knew it was time to make the hardest decision — to let him go peacefully rather than allow him to suffer any longer.

Jedi's life was not an easy one. But we hope that the years he spent with us were the best years of his life. ❤️

We were able to show him something he may not have known before: love, kindness, safety, comfort, and compassion. We were able to give him a warm bed, full meals, medical care, gentle hands, and people who loved him.

And most importantly, we were able to make sure that when his time came, he did not have to face it alone.

Jedi is finally pain-free. 🌈

While our hearts are broken, we are grateful that we were given the opportunity to love him and give him the years of comfort he deserved.

Run free, sweet Jedi. You were loved. You mattered. You will never be forgotten. 🐾❤️

Thank you for helping us give Jedi the life and peaceful goodbye he deserved.

Poor jedi's mass has ruptured. The vet is coming here to us to see this poor guy. Jedi has had such I rough life and we have tried so hard to keep in comfortable and happy. Keep Him in you thoughts.

🚨🚨 DESPERATELY URGENT — JEDI NEEDS OUR HELP NOW! 🚨🚨

We came into the shelter today and immediately knew something was wrong. Jedi is not feeling well, and he desperately needs to see a veterinarian immediately. 💔

As many of you know, Jedi is in end-stage kidney failure and suffers from chronic pain from injuries he sustained while living on the reservation.

💔 Now, Jedi has also developed a large, fast-growing mass on the side of his head. We don't know what it is, and with everything his body is already fighting, we cannot wait to have him evaluated.

He desperately needs veterinary testing and medical care right away to determine what is happening and, most importantly, to make sure he is comfortable and not suffering.

🚨 WE NEED HELP IMMEDIATELY. 🚨

Jedi has already endured more than any dog should ever have to endure. He deserves to be surrounded by love and receive the medical care he needs.

❄️Cool! That's what our office is now!❄️

A huge, THANK YOU, to Marcos at Corona Heating & cooling! They came out Friday morning and stayed until all work was done & both units were installed. Donated their labor and one of the units was so very kind. They did a great job & we thank them from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
