Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! 🐾

This week, on behalf of Otis Purrito and all of us at Hearts That Purr, we celebrate the wonderful veterinary technicians who play such an important role in caring for the animals we love.

As you may know, many of our senior kitties have complicated medical needs. Vet techs support our veterinarians in all manner of care including exams, treatments, procedures, monitoring, and—just as importantly—providing comfort and reassurance when a frightened or sick kitty needs it most.

To all the veterinary technicians who have helped care for our Hearts That Purr kitties over the years, thank you! We are incredibly grateful for the skill, patience, compassion, and dedication you bring to every patient. We appreciate you more than you know. ❤️

Some people are simply born with hearts that make this world a little kinder, and Melissa is one of them.

As the co-director of Southern Arizona Cat Rescue and Hunter’s Kitten Lounge, she dedicates so much of her time, energy, and love to the cats who need her. Her heart for these little souls is unmatched, and the hard work she puts in every single day deserves so much appreciation.

The love she gives, the lives she touches, and the compassion she shows are a beautiful reminder of what it means to truly care.

They came for help. After several trips to his truck, they left with a full supply of dog food, a bed, booties and support.
Maynard’s dad is a Vietnam veteran who served three tours. Maynard is his support dog and goes everywhere with him.
At Cody’s Friends, we were able to help with pet food, a bed, and supplies to keep Maynard safe and comfortable.

Meet Tippy 💙

This super sweet 10yr old is currently in foster care for PACC (ID )

He has a rough past that has left him with sores on his body. His foster mom called us for a much needed groom because he was super itchy and a little stinky.

He purred his entire groom and the amount of love we gave him just wasn’t enough 🥰

Here at That Cat Groomer, these type of situations/grooms melt our hearts and remind us of why we are so passionate about working with rescues.

We’d like to remind everyone of our give back program; donations from our followers/clients allows rescues and fosters to not have to stress over the cost of grooming.

Rescues have enough on their plate with medical bills, housing, and basic food necessities. Although we give a highly discounted rate, professional grooming comes second to last.

Today we’re celebrating Emily, the director of Whiskers N Wishes Sanctuary here in Tucson. She wears so many hats with grace—an amazing mom, a passionate animal advocate, a talented author, and one of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet.

The love and dedication she pours into every life she touches, whether it’s her family, the animals she tirelessly fights for, or the people lucky enough to know her, never goes unnoticed. Her compassion inspires so many and her heart is truly one of a kind.
