This Memorial Day weekend, we’re remembering and honoring the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

As you spend time with family, friends, and pets this weekend, here are a few quick reminders to help keep your furry family members safe too:

🐾 Keep pets away from BBQ foods like bones, corn cobs, onions, and alcohol
🐾 Make sure pets have plenty of fresh water and shade outdoors
🐾 Watch out for hot pavement during walks
🐾 Keep gates and doors secure during gatherings
🐾 Fireworks and loud noises can be stressful — create a calm, quiet space indoors
🐾 Watch for overheating signs

We hear all kinds of things from our patients during house calls… if only they could talk 😂

Some are excited. Some are brave. Some are suspicious.
And some are definitely convinced this was not part of the plan…

But no matter the scenario, we love all our pet patients — and we like to think they’d tell us they love us back!

Happy 10th Birthday to an incredible warrior, Aashah! She's been battling Valley Fever for years, undergoing numerous treatments, and even lost an eye and toes to the disease. Yet, her spirit remains unbroken. Aashah's DNA is being studied to help find new treatments for this disease. For now, she's living life to the fullest and reminds us to cherish every moment.
