Did You Know Sago Palms Can Be Deadly to Pets!?

These popular landscaping plants are common throughout Tucson, but every part of the sago palm is toxic to dogs and cats—especially the seeds.

🐾 Signs of sago palm poisoning may include:
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Drooling
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite
• Seizures
• Liver failure

⚠️ Even a small amount can cause serious illness and may be life-threatening.

If you think your pet has chewed on or eaten any part of a sago palm, contact us immediately. Early treatment can make a significant difference!
