Announcing our 2026 summer program for children and adults alike!

Howdy! I am AD Joyce, a summer trainer at Cherokee Hill Farm in the summer months when I am off from school. This will be my 5th consecutive summer working with Mike and Linda while training horses and students!

I have been working with horses consistently for 13 years now, going from walking in circles on ponies to training a Holsteiner and having my own pony to take care of! In that time I have trained in western riding, rodeo, and western dressage, and then transitioned to english riding, including jumping, endurance training, and fox hunting while I have been at CHF!

At Cherokee Hill, I teach all level of students and enjoy building a stable foundation that can be applied to any kind of riding. With a local trail system right at our door, I love taking students out on extensive trail rides once confidence is built between horse and rider. I also have done work rehabbing horses, and frequently work with the horses at the barn to keep them in shape when I’m available.

I’m a college student, so I will be focusing my time from May until August here at Cherokee Hill Farm! Catch me around the barn, or beating the heat at a local coffee shop 😎

Yesterday was the saddest of days at Cherokee Hill Farm as we said our final goodbyes to Spyder our handsome trakehner warm blood who was close to 30 years old .
Our hearts go out to Suzanne his owner and Bonnie his personal groomer for the past many years. Spyder was loved by all his Pasture mates and his human friends in the barn, especially Mike Tracy, Judy, Bónnie, Lahna, James, Aparicio, Buddy, and everyone else that knew him,he was a true gentleman, very handsome indeed and a joy to have for so many years at our farm. We will miss him dearly. he stands here very regally with little brother Gamble who protected him always. We love you Spyder❤️
