Ready for a life update? It’s been a while.

Tl;DR I stopped (paused🤭) posting when I became a mental health counselor a few years ago. I wasn’t working w horses much + really had to give ~learning therapy~ my all. I wasn’t sure then what my future w horses would be. I’m not too sure if it was my relationship w social media or the pressure I felt to be an exemplary trainer BUT I rlly lost the joy + drive to ride.

Around this time, I met my soulmate . We knew Arkansas wasn’t our forever + wanted to be in the mountains. The stars aligned in a way that !still blows my mind! + + I reconnected like no time had passed🥹 leading us to visit NC last August. We got engaged the following September + moved to NC Dec 26. After New Year’s, I started my job ~an hour away, Sean went remote + we FINALLY moved into our new home. A few months later, we gathered our friends + family to make it capital O-Official!💍 All in the same break-neck whirlwind of a year🤯

In every way that it’s been a stressful nightmare😅 it’s truly been a dream come true🤍✨

Through it all, one of the pieces I’m SO grateful for is that I have totally rediscovered my love for + redefined my relationship w horses. My focus is enjoying small moments + releasing that pressure to be a perfect example, educator + expert. I just want to enjoy my horses + share our lives together, be it beautiful + magical or messy + flawed. I was always happiest on social media when I was authentic + not taking myself, the horses, or posting too seriously. So I’m just doing that. And I’m having a BLAST!🎉

So sincerely thank you to those of you who have been here since the beginning. Your kind words + memories have been so cool to read as I’ve been making my way back. Welcome + thanks for joining to all the new faces! I can’t wait for what’s in store (:
