A little update from The Pet Vet! 💙

Many of you already know that Dr. Schroer has been away from the clinic recently as she welcomed a very special new addition to her family — her first son, Brayden, born August 31!

Mom and baby are both doing well, and Dr. Schroer is soaking up all the newborn cuddles while enjoying this special time with her family.

She is looking forward to being back at The Pet Vet and seeing all of her wonderful patients and clients soon! Thank you to everyone who has sent congratulations, checked in, and given her the time to enjoy these first precious weeks with her little one. We are so grateful for your support and understanding! 🐾💙

🐾 LABOR DAY WEEKEND HOURS 🐾

With the Labor Day weekend approaching, please take a moment to review our holiday hours and appointment availability.

Due to Dr. Schroer’s maternity leave, we will unfortunately not have veterinarian coverage in the office on Thursday, September 3rd or Friday, September 4th.

Our team will still be here and available to:
🐾 Answer phones
🐾 Help with scheduling
🐾 Assist with medication and food pickups
🐾 Help with other non-doctor needs
🐾 Provide technician appointments as scheduled

Thursday, September 3rd: 8 AM–6 PM — Tech appointments only
Friday, September 4th: 8 AM–4 PM — Tech appointments only
Monday, September 7th: CLOSED for Labor Day

Unfortunately, we will not be able to see appointments requiring a veterinarian or provide veterinary exams on Thursday or Friday.

If your pet is experiencing an urgent medical concern while we do not have doctor coverage, please contact VSS West in Winghaven for assistance.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We wish all of our clients and their pets a wonderful and relaxing Labor Day weekend!

Happy National Spoil Your Dog Day!

Today is the perfect excuse to give your four-legged best friend a little extra love!

Whether that means an extra-long walk, their favorite treat, a new toy, some serious belly rubs, or simply letting them take over the couch… we fully support it!

Just remember—spoiling your dog doesn’t have to mean spoiling their health! Keep treats balanced, make time for exercise, and don’t forget those routine wellness visits.

Exciting News! 🐾

The Pet Vet family is growing! Dr. Schroer is expecting her first baby next month and will be taking a maternity leave for a short time to welcome her newest little one.

During her leave, The Pet Vet will remain open and our wonderful relief veterinarians will be here to continue caring for your pets. They have been carefully selected to provide the compassionate, high-quality care our clients have come to expect. While there may be a few minor, temporary schedule adjustments, our team is committed to making this transition as smooth as possible.

We know how important it is to have a veterinary team you trust, and we appreciate your continued support and flexibility during this exciting time. Thank you for allowing us to care for your pets—we look forward to welcoming Dr. Schroer back after she enjoys this special season with her growing family!

Dr. Schroer has a soft spot for spotted-faced puppies so giving this guy back after his appointment was no easy task.
