Another AKC Scentwork trial in the books at the end of this weekend! The big red dog completed his overall Advanced title this weekend and an element title in excellent buried, including a first place Excellent buried search on Saturday and a fourth place Excellent buried search on Sunday. He also came away with a second place search in advanced interiors and a third place search in excellent Exteriors. We drew a couple of no's this weekend, too, and even in those searches I was proud of how well we did. This guy carried us.

As always, a big thank you to my coach, Naomi Boyar, who is always there for moral support and to video our successes and our mistakes and to Scentwork Austin Texas Club for a putting on a smooth trial 🐾

Honey is staying here with us for Board and Train and will be available for adoption through Gold Ribbon Rescue! She will be working hard over the next few weeks to learn the skills she'll need to be someone's best buddy! She is 2 years old, loves to play tug, and she gets along well with other dogs and my cats!

Did you know that early socialization is also important for kittens? Today, the staff at PetSmart Veterinary Round Rock was kind enough to let us use their space for a happy visit! Frasier and Niles explored the exam room, met some new human friends who gave them yummy treats, played, and practiced getting onto the scale to check their weights! Happy visits can go a long way toward helping these two feel comfortable visiting their veterinary staff friends for the rest of their lives!
