Sunday morning vibes from the sassiest Porties I know here to help with a vacation reminder 🥰😍

From the evening of Wednesday, August 5 through the morning of Tuesday, August 11, we'll be trading leashes for beach chairs. Our toes will be in the sand, and my phone will be on Do Not Disturb. There will be NO daycare pickup or drop off during those days.

During this time, I will not be answering calls, texts, portal messages, emails, or voicemails. Please know this boundary allows us to fully unplug and recharge so we can return ready to give your pets the very best….and will allow Dean to rest before he starts teaching again.

If you have an immediate daycare or boarding need while we're away, please text or call our business line at 937-240-3077. Miss Suzie will be monitoring the business line during normal business hours and will be happy to assist you.

Sprout and Rona sure know how to pick favorites.

They are pretty excited because their bestie, Dean Anthony has officially been named July's Employee of the Month... and Husband of the Month. He completed his first set of overnights this month and crushed it with 8/8 paws up.

After a month of endless belly rubs, treat deliveries, puppy cuddles, and keeping up with all the chaos at Blockheads & Bows, we'd say it's well deserved.

His prize? An all-expenses-paid vacation from August 6–10 to wherever Kristen wants to celebrate her birthday. (Hello joint checking whooooo 🤣)

🚨 Air quality matters, especially for our four-legged friends 🚨

Due to wildfire smoke moving into our region, all boarding, daycare, and in-home visit pets will have shorter, frequent, outdoor potty breaks of approximately 5 to 10 minutes at a time until air quality improves. This helps reduce unnecessary exposure while still making sure everyone gets the breaks they need.

The rest of the time, we'll keep the fun, enrichment, cuddles, and care going safely indoors.

Whether your pet is staying with us at The Doghouse Collective or if I am caring for them in your home, their health, comfort, and safety will always be the top priority. Thank you for trusting B & B to make the best decisions for your pets, even when Mother Nature throws us a curveball.

Today's forecast is HOT, so we're making a few adjustments to keep everyone safe.

Home visit clients: Every pet will receive at least one visit before the heat advisory begins so they have a chance to potty before temperatures peak. Visit times throughout the day may be adjusted as needed to keep both your pups and me safe. 📣 ALL VISITS TODAY ARE POTTY BREAKS OR PLAY DATES ONLY DUE TO THE HEAT 📣

Daycare friends: It's Water Wednesday! Expect plenty of splash pad and pool fun to help everyone stay cool. Daycare pickups may begin as early as 12:00 PM today due to the extreme heat.

Daycare/Boarding clients: as we continue to grow, we're making a small change that will help drop offs and pickups run more smoothly for everyone.

📣 Beginning immediately, daycare and boarding appointments will use a 15 minute arrival window. You must schedule your times online via the portal.

For example:
• 8:00 a.m. drop off = arrival between 8:00 and 8:15 a.m.
• 5:00 p.m. pickup = arrival between 5:00 and 5:15 p.m.

If you arrive outside of your scheduled window, you will be asked to wait a few minutes while we finish helping the client who arrived on time. This helps prevent bottlenecks, keeps dogs moving safely through the building, and allows us to give every family our full attention. 📣

It is also the client's responsibility to schedule all daycare and boarding drop off and pickup appointments through our client portal. As much as I would love to schedule everyone’s appointments I simply cannot do it due to the amount of pups utilizing my services. Daycare and boarding clients this is your link to schedule here:

Need daycare transportation for your pet?

If you'd like for me to provide pickup or drop off service, please let me know by Friday of the week •before• your reservation so I can plan my schedule accordingly. While a last minute transportation request may seem like a small change, it often requires rearranging home visit clients and other scheduled appointments.

This Saturday, July 11, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Danielle from PAWsome nail trimming will be at Folded Ear Dog Park raising money to help send her daughter to Italy for her soccer trip!

No appointment is needed. Just stop by, bring your pup, and help support an amazing opportunity for a hardworking young athlete. Every service and every bag of treats helps get her one step closer to Italy!
