Belly rubs, kisses, and a full workup? Dash handled it all like a champ! 🐾

Dash is a 9 year old miniature dachshund who was visiting us for a wellness exam. We checked everything, gave him a nail trim, and took plenty of breaks for snuggles in between! Visits like this give us a chance to see how your pet is doing year over year and catch the little changes that matter as pups get older.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our first birthday! Seeing so many familiar faces (and a few new ones) today meant the world to our team. We’re so grateful to be part of this community and to be trusted with the pets you love most!

Swipe to see our birthday party guests enjoying their treats and celebrating with us. We think it’s safe to say they had a good time! 🐾

Meet Koda and Buddy, better known around here as the Minty Boys, and our Pets of the Month!

These dachshund brothers got into something they shouldn't have, and it came with some very fresh breath. Thanks to a quick-thinking mom (who deserves Pet Parent of the Month) and our team, the boys are doing great, and their story comes with an important reminder for every pet parent.

Almost a year ago, we opened our doors at The Animal Hospital on South Main and started getting to know the pups, cats, and families of Troutman. Since then, you've trusted us with first puppy visits, senior check-ins, and everything in between, and we're so grateful for every family who walks through our doors.

So we're throwing a party, and you're invited! 🥳 Join us on Tuesday, October 6th at our South Main location to celebrate with treats for your pets (and yes, you too!) 🎉 🐾

We were absolutely in puppy heaven with this adorable Australian Shepherd pup! 😍 This little girl stopped by for her checkup before heading home with her forever family. If you're thinking about bringing home a new pet, we're happy to answer any questions you may have before bringing your puppy home for the very first time.

Whether it is questions about the transition, what to expect at the first visit, or just meeting the team, we would love to help you get started off right! 🐾

Meet Clyde! He is the sweetest French Bulldog who came in for a check-up, and a few zoomies out back with the team. Check-ups are always fun with a little frenchie energy in the mix! 🐾

We're a littttttle (okay, a lot!) obsessed with Meow Blaster and Jelly Bean. They came in for their wellness exams and made themselves right at home! Cats often like to explore when they're in a new space, but these two found themselves playing and hanging out in the cabinet! 😆

Routine visits like this are such an easy way to stay ahead of things for our cat patients, and if you've got more than one pet at home, a quick heads-up when you're scheduling means we can often get them seen together, just like we did for these two 🐾

A little snapshot of a week at AHSM! We had familiar faces we're always happy to see, and a handful of new ones we're excited to get to know! Every visit adds another name (and tail wag) to the family. 🐾

Meet Spats! 🐈‍⬛ This was Spats' first time visiting us, which meant getting acclimated to the space and also feeling a little nervous, which is totally okay! Some cats do best when we let them set the pace. Dr. Talbot and Ella gave him time in his carrier and let him explore the room on his terms to get more comfortable.

Not every pet walks in ready for a nose boop and a treat, and we plan for that! Our team trains specifically on how to meet anxious pets where they are, so a wellness exam doesn't have to mean stress for you or your pet. Staying on top of their health care shouldn't come with dread. 🐾

When it was time to confirm Lola's pregnancy, we brought the ultrasound right to her exam room instead of moving her around the building. We try to keep as much of the visit as possible happening in one spot, since going room to room or being handled by different people in different areas can add stress that's easy to avoid. Lola stayed comfortable the whole time with us and her parents, tail wagging and all. This sweet cocker spaniel has us counting down the days until we get to meet her puppies! 🐾
