So, I've had several people ask what it's like to live with so many cats. Yes, I actually have 20. Allow me to run through a typical weekday. I'm out of bed at 5am, after removing myself from a pile of at least 5 cats (sometimes more) who refuse to sleep on my wifes side of the bed. Bathroom run, then feeding time. Fresh water in the bowls (we also have fountains) and food in 12 bowls of various sizes. Check my emails and Facebook, repeatedly moving Sophie who thinks we're having a staring contest, then make sure the bowl in the sink is full of water for the nuts who won't get a drink anywhere else, and go to work. Get home from work, shower, then corral Checkers in the bathroom so he can eat his prescription food. My son has already been home since 3:30, so litterboxes and vacuuming are already done. Then it's dinner time for the rest, so it's wash the water bowls and fill with fresh water, repeat the food process, and put out food and fresh water for the strays/ferals outside (yep, they're still coming around). I finally sit down to eat (usually on the couch) around 6. Then it's Youtube or video games (I don't watch tv) with Bushy, Abbie, Jinx, and Noname all laying around me, with others scattered around like a cat bomb went off in the living room. Go to bed around 9 (I'm a mechanic, I'm beat), and try to squeeze in around Bushy, Jinx, Evita, Checkers, Pepper, Morrigan, Simba, and Hades. Yuna will usually do a fly by, and Sophie will watch from the side table. Repeat the process the next day. Really pretty quiet, actually. LOL!
