Rockey's Kennels Rockey's Kennels has been training and breeding Quality Springer Spaniels for over 40 years. We have introduced Cocker Spaniels 8 years ago.

Gary and Josh Riddle strive to breed and train spaniels at the highest level possible. Thank you for your interest Gary and Josh run Rockey’s Kennels, where their focus is producing and developing high-quality English Springer Spaniels and Cockers for hunting, competition, and family companionship. Gary has spent more than 40 years hunting, training, and competing with dogs, including nearly 30 years field trialing English Springer Spaniels. His experience working with exceptional dogs, including FC, AFC, CFC Rockeys Quest, helped shape the training philosophy and knowledge he applies today. Gary has also had the honor of judging the U.S. National Open Championship, an experience that further strengthened his appreciation for elite working dogs. At Rockey’s Kennels, Gary focuses on training and field trialing, while Josh oversees the breeding program. Each year, they produce a limited number of Springer and Cocker litters with an emphasis on natural ability, strong genetics, health, and trainability. Their dogs have gone on to succeed not only as hunting companions, but also in agility, scent work, detection, competition, and family homes. Their training philosophy centers on identifying a dog’s natural strengths, developing those abilities through positive reinforcement and repetition, and helping each dog reach its full potential. Health and genetics remain a top priority, with OFA certifications and Embark DNA testing utilized to help produce healthy, capable companions for years to come.

Last week and weekend was an absolute whirlwind. From elk hunting to field trialing. Rain and mud and lots of fun. Lots of great dogs ran and we were very pleased with the effort that the dogs put forth. We were able to squeak out a few placements. A few folks got some great pictures they shared. Thank you.

We used to hunt a lot more big game. Over the years we have really enjoyed the interaction with the dogs and have dedicated a lot more time to field trialing, and Hunting. This year we made an exception!

It’s finally here… the hap-hap-happiest season of all!!! 🐔🐔🐔
What an awesome weekend! Forrest absolutely took over the 4.10, and Monroe had a pretty great weekend too! We couldn’t be more proud of both of them and all the hard work they’ve put in.

Let hunting season begin!
