12 years ago this mare was dropped off to my Beaudesert Sanctuary. She was so emaciated she couldn’t even stand!
After arriving, she laid down and I helped her pass over!

My purpose isn’t always to “save their life” sometimes my purpose is to help them leave this earth that has been so harsh to them! To give them the dignified end they all deserve! To end the suffering cast on them by so many others!

Death isn’t the worst thing that can happen to an animal! Prolonged suffering, being passed around from home to home due to lameness and no one bothering to investigate or end the horses suffering then being left to starve in a paddock is much worse!

I have sat with many souls, given their last injection to stop their beautiful hearts while shedding tears for a horse I never knew until we crossed paths for a moment in life, for a reason and for one last act of kindness..

Kirra was one of Thousands and unfortunately I do become a dumping ground through my “No questions asked policy” and yes it cost me an absolute fortune but I could never put a price on a horses life - or it’s suffering and it’s basic right to be set free peacefully ❤️

We got only a couple more days with this guy who came just for a winter board. I'll miss seeing his cute spotted face peering at me daily. 🐴❤️

We've had a couple goodbyes on the farm this week with one more to come.

Our sweet Buster as moved onto greener pastures. 29 years old is a respectable life and he was ready for his next journey. He was surrounded with love for his departure❤️

And Molly. She has moved on to retire at her owners best friends farm. With another horse and mini to graze along side🥰

A few projects this summer to make some improvements here and then we may be looking to fill a couple spots this fall for boarding. Please feel free to send a message if you'd like to be notified when the time comes! I'd love to chat🐴

Prince.
I had the euthanasia appt scheduled. The cremation company ready to be there to pick him up. The little girls heart broken. She wanted pictures with him before we put him down.
Then, she sat there and talked about how he would follow her all over in the arena and my heart melted. It brought back the memories of my heart horse Jackson and the bond we had. We had a game we played where he followed me all over the place for a carrot. No matter where I went he ran, stopped, backed. No halter, no lead.
So here we are, diving even further into his diet and lameness issues. Blood work and xrays were redone and he is IR with rotation (which I've know about the rotation since day 1 and has already been on a metabolic diet anyway) He's had a rough winter despite our efforts to keep him comfortable and I said I wasn't going to pay the 125$ a month for the gold standard med. Guess what I have coming... 😂 sometimes they are worth their weight in gold and deserve every bit you can give to them.
Prince is one of them. The best little pony who carried his girl through bug hell in Wyoming as irritated, but well behaved as possible.
