Father's Day has always been complicated for me. Growing up without a father left an emptiness that never really had a name. I didn't know what it felt like to be protected, guided, or loved by a dad. For a long time, I grieved something I never even had. When we got married, I didn't have any expectation.
Watching you become a father has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.
You're giving our children everything I once wished for. They will never have to wonder if they're loved, because you show them every single day.
You don't just support my dreams—you make them possible. When things get hard, you carry more than your share so I can keep moving forward. The life we've built, the opportunities our children have, and so many of the dreams I've been able to chase exist because of your love, sacrifice, and support.
Sometimes I catch myself watching you with our children and have to fight back tears, because in those moments I realize that although I never got the father I needed, our children did. Through you, they have a hero, a protector, a teacher, and a best friend. And through you, I've learned what unconditional love looks like. Happy Father's Day to the man who healed wounds he didn't create, gave our children the childhood I always dreamed of, and spends every day turning my dreams into reality. We are so blessed to call you ours. ❤️
