🏁 RACE DAY IN KALAMAZOO!

The miles are behind us, the trailer made it north, and Maclan officially arrived at Little Kalamazoo Speedway Quarter Midget Club.

What started as an unexpected change of plans has turned into an incredible racing adventure, and today it is time to put all those miles, late nights, and preparation to work.

Mac is ready to take on a new track, a new challenge, and a great field of competitors at Midwest Thunder .25 Quarter Midget Racing Series! These are the weekends that help a young driver grow, learn, compete, and build memories that last far beyond the checkered flag.

We are incredibly thankful for everyone who has followed along, encouraged us, shared our posts, and supported this journey. Every message, every share, and every bit of support means more than you know.

Now it is time to buckle up, stay focused, and chase some checkers in Michigan. 🏁🔥

Let’s go racing!

It’s always a blessing to be able to link up with our MBMC Racing family.

Even if it was for only a second longer than it takes Mac to get around the track!

🏁 THE JOURNEY CONTINUES.

What started as an unexpected opportunity has turned into an incredible adventure.

After making the decision to head north, Maclan officially made it to Indiana in the wee hours of the morning and we are one step closer to Little Kalamazoo Speedway Quarter Midget Club and Midwest Thunder .25 Quarter Midget Racing Series.

The miles have been long, the road has been busy, and there is still more travel ahead before we unload the cars and get to work at the racetrack.

This is one of those moments that reminds us how special racing can be. It is not just about the laps we turn on the track. It is about the commitment, the experiences, the memories we make along the way, and the opportunities we choose to chase.

There is still a long way to go before the green flag drops, but we are excited for the challenge ahead and thankful for everyone following along on this journey.

A huge thank you goes out to our Faith in The Point Bird Dogs family for accepting a racer into their home in the wee hours of the morning on 6 hours notice! We are blessed to have them as part of our family. God is good!

For those who have asked how they can help support our racing efforts, every contribution helps make opportunities like this possible by helping offset fuel, hotels, tires, entry fees, and travel expenses.

Now it is time to finish the drive and get ready to chase some checkered flags. 🏁🔥

Who is ready for a big weekend in Michigan?

“looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…” ~Hebrews 12:2

There’s something special about watching a good dog in the field. Head high. Eyes locked in. It’s as if every step they take is taken with purpose.

No matter how good a dog looks in the field, if it loses its focus due to the distractions of the world around it, it won’t stay steady for long. The moment its focus shifts, everything begins to break down. But the dogs that remain focused and fixed on what’s ahead, tend to consistently find birds, handle pressure, and stay true to their training.

For Christians, our faith tends to work much the same way.

The world constantly gives us reasons to look away; be it fear, frustration, uncertainty, pride, or distraction. Yet Scripture calls us to keep our eyes fixed on Christ. Not occasionally. Not only when life is easy. Constantly.

Hebrews reminds us that Jesus is not only the starter of our faith, but the finisher of it as well. The same Savior who called us is the One who sustains us through every storm, every setback, and every season of life.

The same way a steady dog trusts its handler even when it cannot yet see the bird, believers are called to trust the Lord even when we cannot yet see the outcome.

We’re to keep our eyes up, remain steady, and continually look unto Jesus.

How often do you allow the distractions of the world cause you to lose focus? Are you as steady as you expect your dog to be?

There’s nothing wrong with intensity and we look for dogs with drive.

But steadiness matters.

Not because it looks pretty in a trial or on a scorecard… but because in real hunting situations, breaking on or before the flush can turn dangerous in a hurry.

A dog creeping or jumping at a bird changes shooting lanes, timing, safety, and control in ways people sometimes underestimate until something goes wrong.

So I’m curious…
How steady do you expect your dogs to be?

Do you hunt or guide over dogs that break on flush?

And if so… is the reward worth the risk?

Weekends like this don’t happen by accident.

22 qualifying runs out of 28.
5 new titles earned.

Between the early mornings, miles walked, birds planted, and dogs evaluated there was a lot of teamwork behind every ribbon brought home.

We couldn’t be more proud of the dogs and everyone involved this weekend.

A huge thank you to the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Indiana, the Greater Indianapolis Brittany Club, and all of the judges and volunteers for putting on a fantastic event.

As always, a special thank you to and Bone Broth for keeping the dogs hydrated and well nourished. High-performing dogs require high-quality fuel, and our crew showed up ready to work all weekend long because of it.

The ribbons are great… but watching these dogs do what they were bred and trained to do is always the best part.

Beyond proud of Mac and our MBMC Racing family!

Maclan Is Recognized As A Dolphin Award Winner For March 🐬

Each month, Lake Norman Elementary School highlights a core character trait and recognizes students, nominated by their teachers, who consistently live it out in their daily actions.

This month’s focus was Honesty, and Maclan was both humbled and grateful to be recognized as someone who strives to demonstrate honesty and integrity in all that he does.

As much as we celebrate what happens on the racetrack each weekend, what matters most is who Maclan is away from it.

Racing teaches so much more than how to compete. It teaches humility, gratitude, hard work, integrity, kindness, celebrating others, and building meaningful friendships. These are lessons that go far beyond the track, and when they are carried into everyday life, their impact becomes truly powerful.

And for our family, those lessons are rooted in something even greater.

We believe character is built through faith, and that how we live each day is a reflection of the values we are called to uphold. Honesty, integrity, and the way we treat others are not situational, they are part of a bigger purpose.

Seeing Maclan carry those values from the racetrack into his everyday life is what means the most.

Excellence. Development. Growth. Education.
These are more than pillars for racing. They are principles for a life guided by faith, purpose, and integrity. Moments like this serve as reminders of the standard we strive to uphold each and every day.

This is leadership by example. And it is contagious.

Maclan was incredibly excited to receive this recognition, and we are so proud of the young man he is becoming, a reflection of strong character, a servant’s heart, and what it truly means to lead by example.
