Update: We have a major issue with our broken leg friend. His “snap” test for leukemia (FELV in cats), is showing faint positive. We even tested twice 💔
The problem we have to discuss now is: What do we do? We are still willing to do surgery and give him quality time he has left with FELV. However, we do not have any fosters willing to take FELV+cat due to it being contagious to other cats.
Is there anyone out there (without other cats) who would be willing to take care of him/adopt so he can enjoy the time he has left? Maybe you’ve wanted a cat but couldn’t commit to 10-15 years of care? Or maybe his little biscuit making tugged at your heart and you also think he deserves a loving home?
We have to decide today if we’ll need to euthanize or go through with the surgery. These decisions weigh heavily on our board members and veterinarians we work with. If a cat-free home was willing to take him we could move forward with the surgery 🤞 Please contact us if

This poor baby has ulcerated eyes and isn’t eating or drinking. We are overly full of kittens and cats but we just can’t say no. Emergency care on weekends isn’t something we take lightly due to cost but this little one can’t wait. If you can donate or foster we’d be so grateful.

We were contacted about this sweet stray cat who had been suffering from a broken leg for over a week. He was taken to the vet last night to receive pain meds and work out a plan. Turns out he has a crushed tibia and fibula in his rear leg and his leg will need to be amputated which will take place Monday. And even with his injuries he is the sweetest boy.

All of our cat foster’s are full. Well…actually over full. We need a place for this nice boy to land. He purrs and makes biscuits even when he was in pain. If you would be willing to foster this sweetie, please reach out to us and complete our foster application at www.tracyareaanimalrescue.com
